I want to thank Bioware for releasing lossless files, much appreciated!

They could've compressed it down to less than half the size by using FLAC with the default compression settings,
which is lossless and also free/open source. But there could be licensing issues I dunno.

Yea but WAV is supported by more media players than FLAC. At least they are lossless so I'm happy for that. Valve released their Portal 2 OST in all MP3 :crying:

Yeah, all the tracks that take a pointer from the old ME1 soundtrack make me smile.  Mars being the best rendition so far.

Flac has doesn't really have licensing issues... after all it's open source format. Not everyone can play it out of the box so this was wise compromise.

Ugggh. Wav files again? Who even uses wav files?* Now I have to convert them.

*/knowsnothingofmusic. Maybe people do.

Hey, that means we got it raw and in perfect quality. I prefer that over getting crappy 128 kbps MP3 that sounds like playing music on trash cans.

691MB sound track?

Somethings not right about this.

EDIT: LOL .wav files? Seriously?

Seriously? What's the joke? You wanted ****ty MP3 files I bet. Just convert them at least the quality won't suffer (well not as much) unlike converting from MP3 to FLAC which is pointless.

Nothing wrong with MP3 format, guys, if they had chosen to go that route. Believe me, you may think you can hear a difference, but at around 192Kbps and up encoding in VBR format, the human ear has an extremely difficult time picking up on artifacts and quality loss.

Trust me. The average consumer can't tell a difference between FLAC and VBR 256Kbps. I'm not going to explain why you should listen to me, but let's just say I know a lot about sound and physics.

Ok, so this more then anything else has me gripping my chair feeling like "GET HERE FASTER YOU SILLY BOX!" The OST is the main reason I get the CE. I am so jealous of you all right now.
