I served in the Marines and fought the Batarians during the Skyllian Blitz, and there is no way the squints would have the stones to attack Earth. The Hegemony knows it can't take the Alliance in a straight up fight, which is why they fought us with proxies the last time. I wouldn't be suprised if some of the four eyed freaks were responsible for our comm buoys going offline, but an act of terrorism does not equal an invasion.

And all this talk of Reapers and the end of the world is even more laughable. Reapers? Seriously?!  You are as likely be to killed by a werewolf or a dragon as you are a Reaper. No one has ever been killed by a mythological monster.

Shepard is a hero in my book and I'll never forget what he did on Elysium, but he hasn't been the same since the Battle of the Citadel. If he truly buys into this Reaper nonsense I think he's lost his marbles and he needs help.

Update. My niece just sent me a picture a "friend" of hers took near Berlin of something going through the streets.



The authorities were telling people to stay inside! How did this get on the streets? It looks like some sort of Batarian super soldier! But it kind of reminds me of those pictures you see of the aftermath of Eden Prime...

Just what the heck is going on?! Only half my family was able to make it to the countryside. The feds are closing the highways.

If you're going outside don't go out without arming yourself!

Amazing, you really can do anything with an omnitool these days. It looks very real, I'll give you that much.

I don't know how to feel about Shepard.  I mean he saved the Citadel from the Geth and got us a Council seat but look at what he has done since then.  First he joins Cerberus and then he wipes out a whole system of Batarians.  Does not sound like the same man almost.

I think your nieces "friend" is playing a dirty trick on you and your niece, it looks good, but not that good, all a hoax.

I've heard a rumour that Cerberus places control chips in the brains of those who disobey them.

We will have to agree to disagree on this. While I don't buy in to this Reaper theory Shepard claims to be fact, I still recognize he has played an incredbily influential part in galactic, and human safety.

After what I've seen Batarians do to their slaves I have no doubt that they could mutilate and "enhance" their own soldiers if it suited their needs.

Things are starting to settle down here, we're getting a perimeter set. Is anyone else noticing some of the news channels and feeds are getting intermittent?

Is it just too much traffic? It took me a bunch of tries to get back to this site.

I've seen more pictures of that creature on European boards. Funny enough its over a pretty wide area. Some sort of scouts?

The Batarians are just a bunch of terrorists. There is no way they can stand up to the Alliance, let alone our fleet in orbit. If they ever get the balls to attack earth difrectly, this would be over in a minute with nothing but a slight mention of it on the news.

Yeah, don't bother.  Nothing but stupid krogan shouting about their quads into the mic.  And some jerk who keeps sniping me.  I swear someone is running a bot, nobody's that good. 

And that's if you can even get into the game.  Too many "no carrier" or "server lost" messages.  Seems even guys from Arcturus are having issues.

Got into contact with one my friends who is a lieutenant on the Gazala. He says that the entire fleet is on high alert. Apparently they've recalled everyone who was on leave. His captain was given standing orders to hold position in high Earth orbit, but other than that they are as in the dark as we are.

He hasn't been able to get or receive word from outside of our relay. He was telling me he would contact me when he knew anything more when his connection went dead.

The comm systems seem to be getting worse by the minute. I had to type this post out twelve times before it went through.

No word yet. I sent a message 45 minutes ago to some relatives. I should have at least gotten some sort of confirmation that the message arrived.

That is true, but would you really trust a Batarian? what if its just an excuse to be allowed in to Alliance Space, maybe a trojan horse, if you like..

The trojans didn't even bother to check the insides of the horse before hauling it into the city. I'm sure the Alliance made thourough inspections of the batarian ships before allowying them to move an inch into our territory.

You can't be serious. We're going to believe the Batarians now? After all that they've done. I have a cousin on Terra Nova. They tried to ram the damn place with an asteroid for god's sake! And then Shepard goes and blows up a system of theirs.

They show up, comms go out and we have no idea what else they've cooked up in their space.

If we start trusting the four-eyed freaks, we might as well go bow to Shepard and prepare for the "Reapers".
