That's far too much of a spoiler, and without actually seeing what the guardian looks like.
I'll give you a hint: it probably isn't an NPC with the body of James Vega.

Brilliant Bioware but you always worked for younger fans to come not the ones you alienate with such endings... More feasible that way I know, recycling the material, business and all... Money talks...
Deus ex machina also because we do not know what the Guardian is. We are denied even of that. Thanks for nothing!
Shepard dies, Normandy destroyed, crew MIA, civilization collapses. Typical Christian hero sacrificing himself for the good of all... I do not have any problem with sacrificial Bible heroes. But I am not sure that the result is that good or was worth it.
Commander, I AM NOT HAPPY!

I just got a mental image of Vegas body with the kid from the demos head on it...

Why do people keep casting children in roles like this? Most children cannot handle a role like this; they are horrible actors.

It's not just the boy. There's another voice speaking with him. It's subtle. I think the entity Shep is talking too knows of Sheps obsession (Shep has a nightmare about him) regarding the boy somehow and uses that.
The other two voices like others have said, are probably Meer and Hale. Multi-dimensional Shep.

I hope someone patted themselves on the back after they wrote it.

They clearly pulled a Stephen King and pulled the ending out of their ass at the last minute.

Yeah, that conversation and the quaility of the voice acting from both Meer and the kid is very deep indeed.Niddy' wrote...

That was artistic? It's cliched, just like the endings with very poor VA (want to hear Hale doing this, maybe the scene gets better). I just really hope, the Catalyst/Guardian doesn't look like that kid.Niddy' wrote...
