Write you own game script, get it developed into a game. As I see it none of you have achieved anything.

than you have no reason to critisize.
if you chose to not make the situation better then basicly zip it with the whining

Come on, that's just walking blindly into anything then.
We are the customers. There's one thing going "I believe they are making the right choice", but telling others "you have no reason to criticize" is not objective at all.

Opinion. As I said, until you write your own game script and get it developed into a game you have nothing to base your opinion on besides personal dislike.
Or in terms that everyone can understand: When you write a script that gets the funding that ME3 had gotten, or get a book published or make money based on your reviews and opinions by getting them published in a game magazine, then you're qualified to point out what bad writing and voice acting is.

When things go all the way "You don't have the right / you're not a writer / developer, etc.", you know you're talking to the wall.

the devs dont owe us jack squat and you know this. and if you dont well then your getting a lesson in reality
the issue isnt the devs its the fans who hung on to words that you know could change
the fans hype up the whole omg yes the devs listen to us and omg we know what we want when in fact the fans dont know what they want
do you think any developer will just cater to one genre of fans and leave other people in the dark?
no they wouldnt because that would be suicide for them
i can spend god a year writting alot of things i found wrong with the last 2 games but i dont
i enjoy it for what it is

Has nothing to do with you don't have the right.....Arguing as if your opinion is the right opinion on a video game when yourself is not as accomplished as the people who wrote the script for the video game your complaining about is talking to a wall.
When they have their own writings published then I will take their reviews and crtizism beyond face value.
Sparatus wrote...
Ah, yes. The "you can't criticize someone's work until you write a highly successful work" argument.
Very clever....something quite original so I feel compelled to take your opinion on the game very seriously when you use a line written by the very same people your critizing as a joke.

Should I show Snooki this scene and ask her if it is horrible or not? Since she is an accomplished writer and all.

Wow, dude. You're acting like you're 9 years old.
If I went to the restaurant and ordered a pizza and instead I'd get a cow skull with cheese I couldn't complain, because I don't have my own restaurant?

Yes, a person not complaining about a video game is acting like a 9 year old. If you went to a restaurant and ordered a pizza and you got a cow skull with cheese you could complain, because that's not what you ordered. See in a restaurant you have control over what is made due to the service the place provides. However if said place had the product pre-made as a video game is then no, you have the right to return your item for a refund unless the policy is no refund. In which case your screwed.

Not happy with the product return for a refund and move on. Voice your opinion in a survey if you feel the need to let the company know about your concerns. That is more valid than posting on a public forums in hopes that a company rep will listen to you. Otherwise expect responses such as these.

But ok, let's pretend you have to develop a game to criticize it, what about IGN, Eurogamer, Gamespot etc.? None of them have developed a game.

so you feel you have the right to complain because you think you own bioware let alone the mass effect franchise?

They haven't developed a game, they have however have editors that come from a game developing background and they do get paid to publish their opinions. IGN, Eurogamer, Gamespot, Gameinformer, and the many others are as with all opinions taken by face value. A game they did not like may have been a game I liked. A game they gave a 10, I may have given a 7 etc...
and you said and I quote "Wow, dude. You're acting like you're 9 years old." end quote. so are you saying I'm acting 9 years old because I have a differing view than someone who hates a game that I like?

No, you're acting like a 9 year old, because you claim you have to develop a game to criticize it.
You don't have to. If you have a brain, you know what's good and what not.
To be frank, I just wanted to know how you'd respond to my questions, because what you said must be the single dumbest statement I heard from a Bio.drone the last few weeks.

That's all that matters in this case. The writing sucks, you don't need to be a writer to see that. If I wrote my own game script, I'd still say it sucked. The only thing that being a dev would change is what I know about the writing process. Sure I'd have a respect for the load of work the writers do, but my opinion on that Guardian crap wouldn't change.

"You know, I didn't like that movie."
"Could you make a better one? Did you go to film school? No? STFU."
"I don't really like that artist"
"You can barely draw a stick figure. STFU and learn your place!"
Be realistic. Believe it or not, just because someone doesn't have experience in something, that doesn't mean they can't form perfectly valid opinions, and there's nothing wrong with voicing those opinions.
