I do not know any major spoilers about the ending.
No Spoilers but is it really as bad as people are saying?

Unless it's some massive disinformation campaign, I'd say bad doesn't even come close to it.

If you have dreams of being in relationships with the main characters and you are looking for a Disney film ending...eh.

If you thought your choices in the first two games mattered, then yes it's pretty bad. Your decisions have been marginalized. Getting railroaded into the same 3 or 4 endings kinda sucks.

Liek that didn't happen in the first two? No matter what, Saren and Soverign die, Council dies or not. Everything is balmed on the Geth.
2nd, Collectors die you either save the base or destroy it. The only factor are who died or not. Still railroaded.
The first two are a lot worst compared to 3.

I think the endings are right. I have no problem with them. I think the issue people are having is there really isn't an option to have a 'perfect' happy ending... but in reality, there really shouldn't be. The game isn't based on the idea that Shepard walks away into the sunset. It's made very clear that this is the end of Mass Effect. I think it was the right direction to go in. The endings are solid and intentional.
agreed! people are just mad because for alot of reasons

1. The people who have played the game say it's a great ending.
2. The people who read incomplete spoilers say it's a bad one.
Which one are you going to believe?

But then again, if this is something that might prevent you from buying the game. You might have to spoil yourself for the ending.
Only you can judge for yourself.

I'd say thin and contrived is more likely but that's just me.

I'm worried about the game doing that to me with a bad ending. I can live with bad if it's simply a case of not defeating the Reapers without taking any losses whatsoever but not if it trivialises everything, or is plain cheesy, or is downright depressing no matter what you do. Oh, and if it's an ME1 end-of-game; I'm pretty certain that I'll want some time afterwards to chat with my crew, and hopefully more of it than I got with ME2.TheLostGenius wrote...
