I suppose, following on from my last post, my worry is that it'll all feel like a kick in the teeth. I'm starting to worry and am hoping that it's just the usual negativity about everything that the internet is great at.

I was listening to impressions from Tom Chick, who hated ME2, and he thought the ending he got was very ballsy of Bioware and really liked it. This pleases me.

Well I haven't SEEN the endings myself, but I was spoiled on a lot of it and I don't really see what the fuss is about.

No-one until I've played the game for myself, but what I've been hearing has me more than a little concerned.

That seems fair. I have faith in Bioware. Regardless ME3 is gonna rock so hard.

We should probably wait and play it for ourselves. And the endings are imo not going to be bad. Bioware just can´t create 50+ endings to please everyone, so some people are going to be pissed. But we can´t do anything about that.

The problem isn't the ending, but the lead up to the ending. It's got a bit of melodrama in places that didn't need it to make it work.

I think the endings are right. I have no problem with them. I think the issue people are having is there really isn't an option to have a 'perfect' happy ending... but in reality, there really shouldn't be. The game isn't based on the idea that Shepard walks away into the sunset. It's made very clear that this is the end of Mass Effect. I think it was the right direction to go in. The endings are solid and intentional.

you misssed the other point at the same time there is no good ending there is no bad ending ethier all thre ending preatty much lead up to the same point and that has been the real grieve agains te endings it's that there are not multiple ending but rather just one with diferent color shining

Both me1 and 2 had one ending with different colors (literaly)

If that is the only complain, then those people should play chrono trigger for snes/psone/ds that game is the very definition of multiple endings and choices that carry weight.

That character should never have been written. It was bad when we first learned about it and it's worse at the end.

Anyone ever read the Dark Tower series from Steven King?

Remember his little side-note before the last chapter of the book when he tells the fans that they should let their last picture of the series be [snip] and not read the last chapter at all?

Bioware should have done this.

Thats how I feel about this ending.

The ending of this reminds me of that second series of V from the 80's. It's that kind of bad.

Depends on your point of view but it's bad on a number of levels.

Reaper reason for existing - iffy
Outcome of endings - iffy
Choice of ending mechanic - very iffy.

How much you rage will depend on certain factors and whether one or two things are bugs or features.

The impression I was left with was "Why did I bother" which is generally not a good one to have after playing a game.

I really wanted Shepard to turn to the XXXX and say "You're ****tin' me right" ?
