Okay, I was an idiot. Here's the full story;

Way back when it first came out, I got Mass Effect for Xbox, and all was well. Between then and ME2's release, I'd moved more into PC gaming - so I bought ME2 for PC. Before this, I bought ME1 for PC as well, with the intent of having a save to carry into ME2. Before I got to that, however, I lost ME1. I found it again while about half-way through playing ME2 - my decision then was "I'll do a playthrough of ME2, I'll play ME1 again, and carry my save for a second playthrough of ME2 where I get everything right".

I never got so far. 

In my first ME2 playthrough, I reached the suicide mission, and Legion died because I was silly and wasn't aware of all the things that could factor into a character death. Unable to go back to fix this, I moved on to that ME1 playthrough I mentioned. Did that, and played ME2 again, determined to do everything right, this time. 
I made one fatal error; while I'd done everything right, I'd been too focused on getting EVERYONE loyal; the game left me with two unloyal party members when the crew was kidnapped. Guess who they were? Tali and Legion.

Both of my techs. Meaning it's impossible for me to complete the suicide mission without someone dying. Honestly, I really don't want to sink another 40+ hours into ME2 to fix this, seeing as I've already spent double that playing the game. It's good, but it's not THAT good. I don't want half the crew to get melted (if I take my time before suicide mission), so I'm stuck. :c

TL;DR - I screwed up. Is there any way to hax either Legion or Tali loyal?

About time I finally got around to seeking help on this problem, seeing as ME3 is so very soon. >.>;

No old saves from before either Tali's or Legion's loyalty missions which also predate the crew being taken? Would still involve some replay but much less.

Why is this a problem unless I am reading it wrong. After your crew is captured you can do 2 missions. I always do Legion and Tali loyalty mission

Hmm thats a real crapstorm(not mocking you, I know what dealing with this **** is like :C ), but I suggest that if you have a save from before the Reaper IFF mission(the mission that triggers the timer for the collector attack) or even just after to load it, and do one of their loyalty missions.

I have a somewhat similar problem as well, does anyone know if it is possible to regain a member's loyalty AFTER destroying the collector base in ME2? I thought I may have solved my Jack-hates-me dilemma when I went with the Paragon ending and the Paragon bar filled up, but the option to convince Jack to be loyal again still isnt there......

I still have to do The Arrival, idk how many Para-points I can milk out of that but I wont bother if regaining loyalty isnt possible after the Collector Base. =P

You have multiple saves throughout your career, right?

Go back to a save right before you get the Reaper IFF. Complete everyone's loyalty mission (especially Tali's), then get the IFF. When you do, the moment you wake Legion, you can only visit one hub / do one mission before the crew gets kidnapped. Needless to say, you should do Legion's mission then.

And if you can't do that, use Gibbed's Save Editor, go to the plot table, and check off "Loyal" for Tali (she has the lower HTL score, so you want her with you in the end, or to take the crew back). After the suicide mission, uncheck her loyalty.

No, that's after the IFF and before the abduction (only one if everyone's already loyal when you get Legion). If you do any mission after the abduction, someone will die.

I believe it's still possible to do the suicide mission with the crew that you have (assuming you have Kasumi and Zaeed and everyone except Tali and Legion are loyal):

Use Kasumi as your tech expert.

Send Mordin back to escort the crew.

Take Jack and Kasumi with you when you face the final boss.

Use the same second team leader and biotics expert as you did before. If they survived before then they'll survive again.

And I think that'll do ya.

I already said that I have no saves previous! X3 As for Kasumi and Zaeed; I'm saving all the DLC stuff to do after the suicide mission. 

It's all my friend's fault >.> He told me that the kidnapping was triggered immediately after Legion's loyalty mission. :c

EDIT: Besides, doesn't Kasumi have a loyalty mission, anyway? If I got her and took her as my tech, wouldn't she die?

EDIT2: Okay, so I got the save editor. There's no 'loyal' box to check off under the plot table, though. :c Nevermind, found it! Thank you, so much. @.@ <3

I *think* you can still recruit Kasumi/Zaeed after the abduction, because neither is an actual mission, but I'm not sure. If so, then just go get Kasumi. It's the only way unless you reload and do Tali/Legion's loyalty missions between the IFF and the abduction.

S'aight, I got the save editor, it's all good now! Although, the only box for Legion that's checked is "Legion acquired". The "Legion 1st appearance", "Legion is revealed" boxes aren't checked O.o
