Oh and im not rating the game. Just read the info below and gather your
thoughts to form your own opinion. Seriously. I'm not commenting on the
Endings either.
Dislikes
- There is alot of autodialogue.
Its still pretty good and changes depending on your reputation and the
character but the neutral option isnt there as much as the previous
games. This will dissapoint some people. - Glitches. Sometimes enemies and squad members will take cover
when there is no cover. LMAO. You might have seen this in multiplayer - Inconsistencies and some retcons that will bother people when it comes to the story. Some bothered me a bit but i still had fun
- Combat isnt as smooth as I'd like. Definitely not as smooth as Gears or Vanquish but still better than previous games
- Romance scenes are meh for the most part. There are a couple
which are good but there are some that are significantly weaker than
others. I'm not specifying any names. - Some emotional parts feel forced. However the parts that made me feel tense and sad outnumber the forced stuff.
- Inconsistent textures. Some parts look really good. And others look really bad.
- Lip synching is off at times but not game breakings
- More animation variety, but they're still off
Likes
- Cinematics are great
- Squad banter blows the previous games out of the water
- James Vega is a typical soldier but not as much of a brick as people made him seem
- EDI is definitely cool. Some of her lines are subtly funny and
reminds me of Legion in a way when it comes to her insightfulness.
- There are characters that spend time on the ship from previous
games. For example ( Wrex/Wreave, a Turian Primarch, and Mordin. )
- Side missions feel like main missions. Shephard talks doing them
and they're much more cinematic and actually impact the storyline. There
are characters from previous games which makes appearances during some
of these side missions - The way certain characters react to things are defintiely
different. For example, Wrex and Wreave are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from
one another and everybody such as Shephard,Garrus,Liara, Turian
Primarch, all reacts differently to either Wrex or Wreave - Samantha Traynor >>>>>>>>> Kelly chambers
- Joker is even funnier than both games
- Missions dont seem all confined in one area. You seem to jet
across locations during missions. For example, you know how Mass Effect
2 it was just corridors. Well sometimes in ME3 there are situations
where things appear to be vertical and whatnot. Cant explain this
really well - Great enemy variety. Fighting Cerberus on certain missions and
the Reapers on others is a good change of pace. You even fight the Geth
for a certain portion. Though I wish each faction couldve had more
enemy at least. - Kai Leng is pretty menacing and he is a guy you will love to hate. Troy Baker does a good job
- Weapon customization trumps both previous game in my opinion.
- Citadel. Nuff Said
- Some horror elements. They are pulled off quite well
- Dates are pretty cool
- You have the option to go stealthy in certain areas to set up flanking maneuvers and ambushes
