This is why nobody takes the BSN seriously.
No, the "romance" people and overzealous moderation are the main reasons nobody takes the BSN seriously.

At some points, especially on the second one, it's hard to take it seriously sometimes. Somewhere between salarians doing musical numbers and priiiizes, the immersion got lost.

ME has always had some questionable parts that are hard to take seriously. It's not like it just started.

Perhaps. Nothing like this though. This is full-blown jumping the shark.

I could never take this series seriously since I can't even get a camera on my helmet to record reaper threats, when my cell phone, 200 years earlier could do so.

Even with that, it's unlikely they'd believe it.

Still not sure what to make of these leaked endings. They have me... concerned but without the context of my own play through I'm reserving judgement.

Heh. Except for basically destroying the namesake of the series, the mass relays, in all but possibly one of the endings, and that's just a start.
how so? you do realize by destroying all relays the reapers cant come back right?
its explained in arrival and im suprised people didnt think of this at all
and no the name sake is not destroyed so just go away already

I have found that anyone with a modicum of intelligence that tries to actually understand the game by use of the books, comics, and or games as well as the related codex has had no real issue understanding it. There are many threads with intelligent discussion that are less about how bad it supposedly is and more about but was it really necessary, and while it obviously was, at least they understand the story itself.
People come in here, see one thing, take it out of context, then assume tons of things, then argue and bicker about nothing.

Also Griffin, mass effect relates to the use of running an electrical current through element zero to achieve mass-less state.
Even when you fully understand the plot, you cannot get away from the fact that these endings are cliché, have bad reasoning and are shallow.
If you can prove you understand the Technological Singularity and how the series built up to that from the beginning through subtle plots meant to be uncovered by you, and then you can prove that you understand the over-arching plot itself, then I will listen to your counter points about how it is bad.
I've yet to see any reasonable counter points.
