Why are we paying for DLC that comes out the same day as release? Even with all the negative feedback? If I was BW I'd throw that in to cool the fire they've been getting hit with. Am I wrong?

It comes with certain preorders... so fans are rewarded. however I agree it should be included in ALL preorders no matter of type, especially after lots of people in the UK preordered the CE last year and then got screwed over by the whole situation there.

It's a Collector's Edition DLC that's a Collector's Edition bonus because if there weren't something in the Collector's Edition worth paying the other $20, people would whinge that the Collector's Edition wasn't worth the extra $20. It's also a Day 1 DLC because if it weren't, people would whinge that only the Collector's Edition pre-order people got access to an awesome extra squadmate and mission. However, people whinge about it being DLC, too, on account of it costing $10 that way.
So, short version: there is no right answer. The forums would be in a state of backlash no matter what.
