A bioware mod criticising Origin...?

Aren't you going to get sacked and sued by EA?

Mod didn't say anything bad , just that orgin could be a bit more smoother.Besides that Mod works for Bioware , not EA.

Ordered the CE for xbox and still nothing. Using findmyorder.com, the status is "order in process." My CC has yet to be charged too.

My communications with origin's customer service have so far been pleasant although not very informative. Seems that all they can offer is the same line that it will arrive on the 6th.

Well it's good to know they are telling you it will arrive on launch day. We shall see.

Don't panic, EA usually delivers on release day. One-day shipping is possible. Monday will probably show the package on its way.

Mine is in progress still. Talked to support, the guy clearly didn't speak English very well :/. This close to release is worrisome indeed.

How do you guys check the status of your orders? I have to talk to the live chat guys to get any updates about my order.

Do you have an order number? If so, go to findmyorder.com and type the number in there. It should link you to the invoice.

Haven't had any problems with Origin so far. When I pre-ordered ME3 last month (like 2 weeks ago), I instantly got an email that my order has been processed. Maybe because I used PayPal?

We're discussing the shipping confirmation. They're supposed to email you the tracking number before it's released.

Are you sure that wasn't just an order confirmation, and not a shipping confirmation?

*Sigh* I just finished talking to one of the live chat guys, and they said my order was pending payment (which is true), but I just assumed that I would get charged on shipping. I wish Amazon hadn't ran out of CE copies.

Actually, he VOLUNTEERS for Bioware. He can say what he wants, THEY need HIM.

Even still , most mods seem blind to anything a company does. It's refreshing to see even a v.mod state a concern about a situation.

So, here is an update, talked to another EA rep on Origins, and he stated that the reason that my order hasn't been actually billed yet, and was still in processing, was because they are currently out of physical copies of the N7 CE for the Xbox 360 that I ordered.

Which means they took more orders than they could handle, and if I don't end up getting the order cancelled (which they assured me it would not be) I could end up getting it late, anywhere from days to more than a week.

Of course I took umbrage to this, and stated what I did earlier in this thread, that it was my first, and if this ends up being as messed up a situation as I now fear might, my last purchase from Origin, physical or otherwise.  They proceeded to offer me a 15% discount code, which of course is too late to apply to my ME3 CE, even though it hasn't been billed yet. As what good is a discount code for a service that I will refuse to use if it fails the simple task of providing me the product I purchased on the day stated.  Even more frustrating is the earlier CS rep's claims that no matter what I would get the game on the release date no problem, and not to worry about it.

Arrgggghhhh,  I understand the trails and tribulations of logistics and customer service, so I can't rage too much on the people just trying to do their jobs the best they can (hopefully). But if anything that understanding makes it even more frustrating that they would fail to properly plan their logistics for this issue, and prep their CS agents to answer questions on the issue properly.

At any rate I suggest any others who are having similar issues to take it to an Origin EA rep, and at the very least get a discount code for your troubles (if you plan to buy anything from Origin from here on that is.)

I emailed them the other day to make sure my order was still on (card was charged back when I made the pre-order and I got an email, but I was paranoid). I haven't gotten a shipping email yet, but since the shipping option I chose means it probably won't arrive until Friday I'm not surprised.

That's pretty much what happened to me. I thought it was my fault after getting in touch with customer service. After seeing this thread though, I'm wondering if it wasn't my fault after all and things are fine. :pinched:

I really don't understand how Origin can hope to compete with other retailers if they consistently make it hard to get any kind of Customer Service, up to and including shipping games far later than most retailers.

Are you actually allowed to say that, you know, being a mod and all?

He's a mod for Bioware, not for Origin or EA. But yeah, he probably shouldn't have.  Either way, still very bleh on Origin now, and it's not like he said something wrong or false.

Right for bioware, who is owned by EA which owns Origin, so in turn he really works for EA. Think about it, Inception

He doesn't work, he volunteers, and it's his job to make sure people are being polite and on-topic, not to work in as a wing of their PR dept.

But we're getting grossly off-topic, which should be: It really sucks Origin seems to be having issues with on-hands of their physical product, which could hose a lot of people who will probably never use Origin again....

Bah ill derail it again for one more post.
I may have used the term "work" a little bit loosely but still an honest question given that in some way he is part of EA.
