A few "fix" for my previous post:

Looks like the Origin version really contains the BDtS DLC files, but you need a key to activate it. I contacted support and they gaved me a key. Then it's worked for me, installed and can be see in the config utility and in-game (DLC menu).
With Pinnacle Station I doesn't have any problem. I'm using both games on Origin.

Oh and I have ME 1-2 on Steam, but I registered them to Origin. I meaned I have them both platform.

If so that's just ridiculous. Why bother making people jump through hoops for something that's free and is already in their game? Meh

It could be though, that they have certain key assets for BDtS added to the Origin version of ME1, but not the complete DLC. May have been to difficult to actually integrate it into the main game. But what shouldn't be difficult is bundling the DLC download with the main game, and letting it activate alongside the main game. Don't know why EA doesn't do this. Maybe they just like keeping their support staff busy?

I killed the process in task manager to install it for my sister too - also Steam version. Glad I didn't have to go in and edit the registry!

Hey people. I get the following Error message when i try to run the BDtS .exe that EA support has given me twice now plus using links that have been posted to use with CD Keys. The message is: "Mass Effect: Bring Down the Sky Setup; Mass Effect is not found. Please reinstall the game from the original source and try again." Is there a reason that i am getting this message? I don't understand where the problem is happening. What do i do to solve it?

How did you register on Origin me1+2?
