I'm getting confused on this issue.

Everytime I press the More Info Button, it gives me the directions to download and install the DLC.

But where is the actual download?

I'm assuming there is either an Origin installation file or an EXE to download to install this weapon.
Am I missing something really obvious?

Or is the download not available until the actual release date of ME3?

I'm a little puzzled as to why the game, From Ashes and the N7 Arsenal pack can be preinstalled and this cannot.

Yeah, I see it in my "registered game content" on the BSN but it isn't listed in Origin as part of my pre download items. I already downloaded the game, and the CE items.

Was wondering how to do this myself, I was just going to wait until the game had gone live and see if it were possible then, if nobody else knows?

Start Origin and find Mass Effect 3 in your game library, right click the title and select "Show Game Details" you will see the various bonus you can get, it is possible that these game contents will appear once the game is officially out.

Now my theory is that these things are actually part of the game and installed by default, then it's just a matter of having them unlocked if you have played Kingdoms of Amalur Demo.

"Instructions for Single Player In-Game Item Requisition

1. Log in with the same account you used to redeem your code in Origin or with the account you used to access the BioWare Social Network website.
2. Allow the DLC to download and install.
3. Run Mass Effect 3.
4. Start a new game or load an existing one.
5. The in-game items will be available once you gain access to the Normandy after completing the game’s prologue.
6. The items will appear on the Weapon Bench or in the Armor Locker located on the Normandy."

It seems to me that these items will automatically download in-game and don't need a separate installer, the way that ME2's DLC did. I could be wrong, but that's the impression I get.

Does it? I can't tell yet since my copy won't arrive until Tuesday, so the only DLC I can see are what I've unlocked via the Amalur demo.

I'm pretty sure these items are in the game files already, you just "unlock them" when you do specific things. There's nothing else to download.

It's the same as the unlocks in DA2, i remember some guy cracked the demo and it had all the armors in it already

Yeah, exactly. The promo stuff is additional stuff. The stuff you unlocked via facebook and whatever else didn't need to be downloaded.

Yes, I can see the Chakram Launcher already there, waiting to be activated.

Still somewhat confused though.

In ME2, we had to download ALL our bonus weapons.

Apparently, that's not the case anymore.

But I still had to download 2 DLCs seperately?
And one of those was a weapon pack.
I guess the ME2 additional content model has not been fully removed.

I'm guessing there will have to be some authentication process, where ME3 passes a request to the account and says "is this person authorized to have this" "yes" "okay, enabliing gun now".

The Kingdom of Alamur items from the demo showed up automatically in that game. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't show up automatically in ME3 as long as your using the same log in.

u will receive the code through email from origin store on u'r local released date, that's how i got the N7 armor in KOA:R. redeem the code in origin to download and activate the DLC.

I am in the game, and the chakram and the armor unlocks automatically, no need to download anything. You get an in game message, and you can access the armor and gun the first time you have free reign in the Normandy.
