I got the computer lady call yesterday afternoon. She sounded so happy for me. "It is packaged and ready for you to pick up Mon. night at midnight. In fact, we're having a midnight release...Come on by..."

The amount of giggity I felt when hearing that was...embarrassing.

So, now I have this tug of war going on inside of me abt. attending midnight release. On the one hand, the pragmatic grown up in me knows full well I need to get up early Tues. morning. I've got things to do. The grown up in me is saying, "What? I don't think so. You've got things to do. You don't ditch everything for some video game. Are you insane?"

Meanwhile there's this teenager in me saying..."FFFFFUUUUUUUUUUU, Grown up! We're there!"

...say what? I just pre-ordered mine, didn't get any receipt(at least, none that they told me to keep) and wasn't told to do anything special. I usually just go in, give my phone number and show them my power up card and the give me my game. Or is it only for midnight releases? Because I remember when I went for Skyrim, people with receipts or something were getting to go to the front of the line.

I just got notification that its shipping, or rather that it has a shipping label. I have it on next day delivery, so does that mean it get here tomorrow during the day sometime?

We'll there I have it, My CE shipped while I was at the gym. Overnight delivery, so I should get it first thing tomorrow. Now I get to check the tracking every 15 minutes today.

I ended up paying $99.20 with tax and shipping. When I went to preorder at the local Gamestop they said I could only get a standard edition, but Gamestop online still had the CE. Oh well I don't mind really, at least I get a "free DLC." I got a much better deal than our european brothers and sisters with the CE and N7 pack fiasco.

Have mine ordered for a midnight release (which actually means 11:00 because the store will stay open after the mall closes and don't care about waiting an extra hour.) So, a little over 12 hours for me!

Exact same thing happened to me. I saw the warning Evil Chris put out about CE quantity so I decided I better preorder now (Jan 5) or be royally disappointed later. Not gonna lie, I'm still a little miffed at the shipping and tax cost. It's kinda ridiculous. Lol, but like you said, it could have been much worse and when I finally pop that bad boy in my 360 any ideas about crazy shipping and tax prices will be long forgotten.

Oh dude you're preaching to the choir, hehe. Picking up would have saved me $10-$12, allowed me to play 12 hours earlier, and not worry about mail. But hey, get in where you fit in right?

Don't know about yours, but my GameStop days that they will be opening their doors at 10 and selling the game at 12:01. But expect people there before 10 too.

lol well I have to go today sometime before 10pm, according to text mssg, to pay for my game and then I'll pick it up at midnight which is greeeat. Even better, there's a gamestop in front of my house~

Yep! Me too~ I think I have like 3-4 hours left to finish it up and ready to transfer my badass FemShep to ME3. Here's to hoping those face codes don't get messed up. She's coming all the way from ME1
