I have read that the resolving the conflict between Tali and Legion gives you a point for peace in ME3, but I did not have enough paragon/renegade to resolve it for some reason. So I then ended up siding with Tali and then talking to Legion afterwards and managed to pass a speech check for his loyalty. Would this still count as a point for peace?

From what I see you can paragon action a lasting peace for the Geth then a week or two later paragon choice kill them all lol

Considering that doing so only really keeps the two of them divided, doing absolutely jack-all to bring the two people closer together, no, I would think it does nothing but ensure Legion's loyalty so he doesn't die in ME2. Actually getting the two of them to cooperate is at least a small step in the right direction toward getting quarians and geth to cooperate. Charm/Intimidate-fixing it after siding with one over the other just patches up your relationship with whoever you ticked off, it does nothing to patch things up between the two.

Assuming "Destroy" is even the Paragon choice... which would be interesting, considering Destroy = Red Energy and Control = Blue Energy, which would suggest the opposite.

But I don't even see a Paragon/Renegade analogue to the ending choice at all, so I think it's rather a moot point.

Guess I'll just have to destory the heretics because I have almost max renegade and can only talk Legion down afterwards. I really wish they would have made saving Veetor and Reeger a factor in having peace.
