Hey I am right now trying to retexture some armor using photoshop. Part of the armor has some skin showing and the problem is that section does not change colour when a character of a differnt skin tone wheres the armor. I would like to know how to script/modify the texture so that it changes the skin colour of the exposed area of hte armor.

The alpha channel of the tint map controls skin tints. My guess would be either you have no tint map or you lost the alpha channel at some point when converting between formats. Just copy the alpha from the original DDS. Make sure to export as a DXT5.

There is a Nvidia plugin for photoshop that can handle the dds files.
