Since the downtime this morning all the persons with custom avatars seem to have lost them.

I wonder if this is this permanent?

It must just be me then as I cannot see any custom avatars. My own, Hellfire, Alupinu etc are all black boxes on the screen. Yours is stock and I can see that fine.

Is this happening to anyone else?

I can see yours too. The only avatar changed I noticed is that since a couple of weeks ago I can only see them in the actual threads, but not in the rest of the forums. I don't think that's related, though, and I assumed it was intended.

I think I've seen some black boxes sometimes, but they got fixed eventually.

Hmmm, still not seeing them. Is anyone else having this problem ?

What browser, browser version and OS are you on. Do you have the same issue on other computers as well. Any proxy's or the like in use? Seems like it's a bug with your browser, or you somehow blocked images, even though the avatars seem like they are simple images.

XP and MSIE version 8.0 I believe. I'm nt a PC person, do you think any of these may be the issue?

Thanks for the link Ark at least I am no alone here.

I do a lot of web development, very often it's a specific browser bug. With that i can see if it's got a problem in that browser later tonight ( or others with IE 8 can comment, or what is NWN DM using now ).

I'd like to know what happens if you log into this site on someone elses computer, does the problem follow you or is it related to the browser and OS and system. Also have you tried firefox on your system - not recommending but it would help narrow down the issue with that.

Odd...I have not had any issues and can see your portrait just fine, as well as NWN DMs...I'm using Chrome on Win XP and Vista.

I logged in with my phone and I can see them on that ...

Perhaps a change of browser is in order. I'm not familiar with the pitfalls that might create I have always used IE. What options are there ?

I had that problem as well for about 4 days... looking this morning and everything seems to be back to normal though (I can see your custom avatar as well PJ).

Did you change anything or was it self correcting? I can wait a few more days then perhaps change op systems and see if that fixes it?
