Wardens' Calling - Warrior or perhaps Mage?

I recently watched Wardens' Calling on YouTube and I was wondering something... Is that character in that video (The PC I imagine) a warrior, or a mage? Mage you might ask, as he clearly wears heavy armor and is armed with a sword... But how about Arcane Warrior? Somewhat at the end of the video his sword clearly lights on fire and isn't this a Mage ability?

Just wondering.

Also. Are there any other cinematics out there, besides the Sacred Ashes cinematics?
I'd love to see some cinematics where the PC is a mage or even rogue for once... Like say he gets attacked by an ogre and avoids it by 'exploding' into a swarm of insects.
Or a ranger that summons a pack of wolves.

Flaming weapons is a mage skill, but it affects all characters in your party with melee weapons.

Right, yes. But what does that make said character in the cinematic? I am pretty sure he is without party members there... Unless they hide somewhere in the shadows.

Arcane Warrior Spells

Combat Magic

* Required Level: 7

* Cost: 0

* Upkeep: 0

* Fatigue: 50

* Range: No

* Cooldown (sec):10

* Area of Effect (ft): 0

While this mode is active, the arcane warrior channels magic inward, trading increased fatigue for an attack bonus and the ability to use spellpower to determine combat damage. Aura of Might and Fade Shroud improve the effects. Additionally, regardless of whether the mode is active, an arcane warrior who has learned this spell may use the magic attribute to satisfy the strength requirement to equip higher-level weapons or armor.

Aura of Might

* Required Level: 12

* Cost: Passive

* Upkeep: 0

* Fatigue: 0

* Range: No

* Cooldown (sec): 0

* Area of Effect (ft): 0

The arcane warrior’s prowess with Combat Magic grows, granting additional bonuses to attack, defense, and damage while in that mode.

Shimmering Shield

* Required Level: 14

* Cost: 0

* Upkeep: 40

* Fatigue: 5

* Range: No

* Cooldown (sec): 30

* Area of Effect (ft): 0

The arcane warrior is surrounded by a shimmering shield of energy that blocks most damage and grants large bonuses to armor and all resistances. When active, however, the Shimmering Shield consumes mana rapidly.

Fade Shroud

* Required Level: 16

* Cost: Passive

* Upkeep: 0

* Fatigue: 0

* Range: No

* Cooldown (sec): 0

* Area of Effect (ft): 0

The arcane warrior now only partly exists in the physical realm while Combat Magic is active. Spanning the gap between the real world and the Fade grants a bonus to mana regeneration and a chance to avoid attacks.

No flaming sword. My guess is the advertisers thought a flaming sword would look cool on a warrior (which it did) and put it on there. The cinematics don't necessarily have to reflect game play.

Yeah, alright. Just left me wondering a bit when I saw it. Sadly I have only seen warrior PCs in cinematics thus far, so a small part of me hoped this was a mage.

Actually, technically the Arcane Warrior does have the flaming sword abilitity. It's a mage spell after all, and the AW is essentially a mage with warrior weapons... he still has access to all the mage spells. I can confirm that the flaming weapon buff also affects the AW's own weapon as well too.

Personally, I always thought the warden in that video was an AW. I mean aside from the flaming sword, the whole smokey eyes bit looks like Combat Magic to me...

Exactly. That's what left me wondering in the first place. I never care much for 'standard' warrior characters, but this particular Grey Warden looked very interesting with the 'flaming sword' and 'smokey eyes'.

That's what left me wondering. I dislike regular warriors, find them a tad boring and such, but the 'flaming sword' and 'smokey eyes' looked interesting.
