first i would like to say that nothing wrong with the char customization but mage/rogue/warrior should have more diverse talents way more diverse. Where people will have characters tht will be like no one else's .... more specialization skills aswell(bring back some old ones from origins and new one)
Second the story for dragon age 3 has to be more open like origins and should click more. Ofcoarse double the items in-game .
Third maybe create a mode you unlock after you beat the game like gladiator mode where you can fight as team or alone in a stadium... If youy beat the game tht would most certainly keep you entertained after the game is finished

class should have more bearing, story wise. In DA2 there were a few dialogues which let the fact that you were a mage play into the conversation (such as the blood mage in the brothel in Act 1) but overall, there felt no point to playing as a rogue or warrior story wise, other than to have Bethany in the game.
So make class-specific content. Enough to be noticeable, not a few Easter Eggs we have to keep our eyes peeled for, but a real segment of the story be tied into us being a mage or a warrior or a rogue. If they are taking away races for good, the least they can do is have the classes, our last real choice in character customization, mean something.

seems the post I linked to at the top there has been ended, great... ah well, it should hopefully stick around to be read, hopefully I will too if I dont get banned, I was a little mad to say the least, but eh I wasnt abusive, tho I did send stanley like 4 mails, I just had alot to say, to bad I couldnt say it all at once, heh, ah well, I said I wouldnt mail him again & I wont.
#1 Add the Qunari race to the Main character creation screen
#2 the ability to create a few companions yourself? personality ect (bioware provides the speech)
#3 more quick slots 12 would do (I thought up a way to map 60+ skills to the ps3 controller when I thought diablo3 was comin
#4 the power to influence your party members morality, through speech like in jade empire & situations
#5 summoned creatures earns the party exp
#6 Allow cheats for consoles, if people want to, let them, whys it matter to you? cheating could disable trophies, im fine with that, I love the dupe and money cheat in origins.
#7 female qunari could be petite, total opposite of the men.
#8 10x the amount of companions.
#9 Greater emphasis on being good or bad, possibly 2 almost unique stories, maybe 3 if someone is borderline.
#10 better blood magic, seriously.
#11 new skill set "demonology" or as a sub class of blood magic, & or maybe "summoner"
Jimmy, I couldnt agree more, its pretty cool when that happens, whats pretty funny is, your dressed like a mage, you have a staff on your back, and alot of the time unless you tell people, they dont know your a mage.. *shakes head* I'd rather everyone knew and loved or hated me, attacked me and learnt to respect me, the hard way, in which I'd forgive and forget, or tear them all a new one >
I waited for templars to come knocking at my door, or to break it down, I'd set their hair on fire.
to go even one better jimmy I think it'd be awsome to do things in the cut scenes, or while talking, something to do with one of your skills or spells. weither its blood magic, or healing somebody or something, setting ones hair on fire lol..... dang im picturing an entire village running around with their hair on fire, arms flailing in the air, wave em around like you just dont care, all because they made you mad, and you just so happen to be good with fire..
theres really alot of things when you think about it.

I love the class influencing story idea. That would add a lot. I would also like them to bring back choice of race. If that means hiring more voice actors for the protagonist, so be it. I don't see why that wouldn't be feasible, especially after The Old Republic.
I don't want more companions. It's hard enough for me trying to decide whom to take along for a quest now:)
Things that I would like to see:
Day/night cycles. Dragon Age II introduced this to some extent, but I'd like to see 2 more "settings": morning and twilight. Random weather would add a lot of atmosphere too.
More crafting: Bioware said they were getting inspiration from Skyrim and I hope this is one of the things they're being inspired by. I love crafting in Skyrim, especially smithing and enchanting.
Storywise, I'd like the game to be a bit more mythical and fantastic and less political, but that's just my personal preference.
Introduce guilds/factions that you can join. But limit it to one choice. This would add so much replay value to the game, having a longish "guild" sidequest that is different depending on which faction you choose to join. Perhaps each guild or faction could have a unique companion that you can only take along if you join that guild. There could be other advantages to the factions as well, like permanent bonuses or unique abilities that you get when you join them.
Finally, I'd just like to see more of the world. I'm sure there are all kinds of epic locations in Thedas that would be awesome to visit. The graphics don't need to be amazing, as long as the designs are inspired and atmospheric. Kingdoms of Amalur does this well, for example.
Those are my suggestions to Bioware for Dragon Age III.

Dragon Age is not Dragon Age without the Blight. If it is true that the main plot for Dragon Age 3 is the mage/templar war - I feel the story won't be complete. I think that the main reason why the mage/templar war should end not only to unify the lands, but to unify the land to battle the last Arch Demon.
Dragon Age 3 should be the last installment.
And about the Warden not returning, I think the Warden should return if the Warden survived the Origins. Why would Leliana say the Warden also disappeared at the end of Dragon Age 2 - that means that the Warden's story is not over.
Hawke should also return or at least have an appearance as he was the reason why the mage/templar war started. Maybe for the mage/templar story Hawke would appear. Then for the final Arch demon battle - the Warden should appear.
Hopefully the romance scene would be better - more 'graphic' so to speak. Characters would have an option to continue the romance, end it, or rekindle the romance

They could always manage to bring a "dead" warden back. Leliana came back, Andraste's ashes anybody...? So even a sacrificial lamb of a Warden can rise from the dead (They did in Awakening). What about the potential of "darkspawn" magic, or the potential of the taint itself? Maker be willing a return of The Warden.
Don't ask for the 3rd to be the last installment though, that makes me sad. There is far to much back story and lore for that to be so. That would be like "A Song of Ice and Fire" ending after the 3rd book (Yes, these series parallel, very similar indeed).
Of course then...I may be able to reclaim my entire life as my own, but I digress...

leave the story to them .... dnt tell them on how to make the story give idea's on how to make the game great...bangin!
@audioepics your last sentence bout the guild is great it should go more by class then race , for example rogues should have like thief guild, nightstalkers ect... Dage shouldnt learn from skyrim too much thier completely diff games.

hmm you all have very good points & ideas... I gotta say I love great atmosphere, fog, especially rain, and the right music to accompany, tho sometimes its better without, hearing the sound of the rain hitting roofs, storms ect. maybe even snow, alot of the time speaks louder than any music ever could.
a better day night cycle including those "magic" hours you mentioned would be pretty cool, the ability to set up camp and sleep for however many hours you decide would save mucking around waiting for a certain point in time..
I honestly think there should be a few more games at the very least, I mean it has a strong following and Im pretty sure there are a few more arch demons waiting to be found in the deep..
not to mention morrigan and her love child.
as with the first two games, Its pretty important that you be able to bring your character directly from either one & continue "your" story. even if it means reassigning skills stats w/e thats fine.
its a shame I couldnt import from my awakening save. and also couldnt bring my sword starfang with me into it.
just like the latest KOTOR Im sure a dragon age MMO will be on the cards soon enough, as will Skyrim no doubt.
theres a new FF thats just come out, eh, Im just waiting for the FF MMO thats in the works. same with the Dragonball, UGH I wish they'd translate it already im gettin my new pc next week woohoo.. diablo3 here I come!!

Any time you have a game that is aware of the advantages of teamwork, what it's like when multiple classes combine their abilities, be it a rogue not just stunning enemies but helping to conceal his friends so that they can take damage better - that's where you do an allegory that says yeah, we could do multiplayer here for sure.

I must say to the person who doesnt want more companions, are you nuts? the ones you get will become boring soon enough, the ones you get will for the most part be people you dont wish to travel with..
In DA2 I Loved only Varric, but only as a Brother... a best friend
tho any of the companions in DA2, interesting yes, love interest, hell no, I was hoping the girl that sent a letter to carver in act 1 showed up, and even the noble woman hawkes mother mentions in act 2.. but nooo lol... not the case, ah well, the way I played Leilana should of been there with me, but I would still of kept Varric, hes awsome.
I guess DA3 keep Varric, make him join your party., and that seeker too, I know she wants me lol

more dragons and wardens to be in effect plus a perfect story line. improvement in custimrization with race choices and voice cast. more weapons in-game was a good choice but a better map is one and more places to explore.

sounds good to me,so far, Im pretty much in agreement with everyone, "pretty much"
I really did love the DA2 loot system with random weapons and armor being dropped alot, I love my loot, makes me think of diablo a bit, and so yeah, me and a companion both had a drop better equipment item equipped throughout the game.
the arena was awsome, it'd be cool if you could just continually fight there regardless of story or finishing the game, so people may sit there and level up, its their time, why not, just dont bank on everyone doing that, or for long periods of time, tho I myself might heh.
theres only 1 mage armor that looked any good in DA2 and thats the champions gear but, come on, add more cool looking stuff for people. tbh I loved that I didnt have to equip my partys armor, saved me hours in the long run. but yeah their getup did look stale soon enough tho. solution, the ability to buy single pieces of differnt looking armor for your companions.
varric looked the best I reckon, well second best after I got the champion set, but there really does need to be more like that, than those old robes that have been around basically since baulders gate, no offence bioware, but come on, how olds that game?

i agree on the whole armor thing they should have diff sets , it seems like the champion armor is the only real good one. Another thing i just want a variety of endings like in Dage 2 you ddnt have that many endings.

I would like to see different branching paths that are based on your decisions so that you have to play again and take a different set of decisions to see the other paths.

this idea will probably be shot down but hear me out:
how about if the main character is born with the power of magic and it's the player choice to either harness it to become a powerful mage or train to supress it and follow the way of the warrior/rogue, imagine a levelling system not unlike the one in kingdoms of amalur. For the party members it could be like in DA2 where they have special trees specific to them and their lifestyle.
