The "One Button to Rule Them All" must go!

I have died playing around in MP more God Damn times because of the bloody "Cover/Dive/Run/whateverthe****" tied to a single button then any turret, atlas, or low level inept team mate ever has.
If just the run function was uncoupled from the rest of it it would probably be workable. In single player? Sure I can live with it. But if your serious about multiplayer-it must be reworked. I know the real estate on a joypad is limited, but you can think of something.
That button is most certianly un-awesome in every respect.

There's really no excuse for the PC version. On the XBox, they just need to move revive and activate over to X and keep run, cover, and dive on A. It'd be perfect.
I agree about the PC version. I have honestly not tried MP on my XBOX yet.

Anyway, I agree. I've lost quite a few matches because of that, BioWare should let us configure controls IMO.

...not to mention the countless times I end up taking cover while I'm actually trying to run somewhere quickly, ending up being too late to revive a teammate, losing time on an objective or plain-ole dead. Again.
Ugh. Seriously.

trying to revive someone near a corner ---> nah, let's take some cover instead *facepalm*
trying to active an objective ---> nah, let's take cover instead *facepalm*

Yup, X button on Xbox would be stellar.

It would be best if they were separated.

Three buttons for the FPS junkies on Xbox live
Seven for the RPG-fanatics with their lack of tact
Nine for the 12 year olds doomed to die
One fo the Illusive Man smoking his crack
In the Land of Multiplayer where players cry
One button to rule them all, one Button to kill them,
One button to bring them all and in the darkness bind them
In the land of Multiplayer where the players cry.
Or something..........<_<

This. So much this.
I wonder why no one at Bioware thought that having one button for cover, running, reviving teammates and interacting with objectives was a good idea?
The only thing that the cover button should share a task with is running.
Hopefully they'll realise how inconvinient it is and eventually patch an alternate control scheme in, assuming such a thing is possible.

That sounds perfect. Does anyone know if we can map powers in the full game?PoSpoon wrote...
