in other words, OP's upset that that there's no fanwank ending :P

YOU SAVE THE ENTIRE GALAXY

but nooo, what happened to the normandy?

if beating the reapers required flying the normandy into a giant reaper core, would you do it?

try to look at the big picture.

If flying the Normandy into a Reaper Core makes sense within context, certainly. As a matter of fact, BioWare can go ahead and slaughter the entire Normandy crew three times over, with the horrifying death scenes of fan favorites lasting for dozens of minutes - so as long as it makes sense within context.

The Normandy going from being the spearhead of the Hammer to outrunning the explosion of the Charon relay in the blink of an eye? Contrived bullshit. The two crew members with you on Earth magically teleporting back to the Normandy right before it gets marooned on a distant planet? Contrived bullshit. The Normandy getting marooned on a distant planet to begin with? Contrived bullshit.

And that's not even touching upon the numerous plotholes in the three variations of the same ending.

You can save everyone. You can even survive. It's just the Mass Relays that get destroyed. Not FTL technology. Earth gets saved. Trillions of lives are saved. From what I can tell, the crew being on the Normandy is a damn bug. How about we all calm down, get the stick out of our arse, and play the gods damned game on Tuesday?

You surviving pretty much depends on you betraying all synthetics and invalidating any choice that ever involved siding with them or making peace, betraying legion's sacrifice, betraying EDI who has shown nothing but loyality, betraying Joker who is happy.

Saving everyone involves your death except you can't save everyone because no matter what huge sacrifice you make, the Normandy still gets screwed by being marooned.

If the message wasn't meant to suggest that at best... Normandy crew becomes an inbred colony then they did a damn awful job of making you think otherwise.

Not to mention mass-murdering every civilisation that has come before and still exists within the Reapers. Destroy is the most selfish of the endings.

Don't forget the Citadel blowing up in the Destroy ending either. Yep, Destroy is a pretty big middle finger to the galaxy, really.

I go Control. Let things smooth themselves out. If anything cooky happens, Shep will bring the Galactic police back.

How does it sound like it's graping at straws?  You leave your crew on Earth, but somehow they are magically on the Normandy?  They just *poof* back onto the Normandy despite leaving them elsewhere?

Obvious bug is obviously an obviously obvious bug.

I hope you're right, but i'll don't hold my breath on this one.

Of course i'll do it. But this is not what happens here.
I'm ok with making sacrifices, and usually enjoy gritty stories. I even don't care if Shepard survives or not. But the destiny of the Normandy is just wrong, i would have prefered if it's ended destroyed or something.

THIS !!! This is my problem with the ending. It's wrong in so many levels. Change that and i'm ok.

Having said all that, i'll reserve my judgment of the actual game until tomorrow. The game looks actuallly good and i'll probably play it. Yes, i don't like the endings, but i'll probably enjoy the game anyway if it's good. The way they resolved Normansy destiny would not affect completely my enjoyment of the game, if it's worth it. I'll get mad when the epilogue comes out but that's just it.
