I apologize if this message has already been posted.....I have children and I don't have time to search through the forums. Tonight there was an origin update, and after updating I tried to launch ME3 just for kicks. Instead of the launch time check I now only get a message saying that I have the 32bit version installed and I need to contact software support to see if there is a 64bit version available.

Is this simply a problem that will go away once the game launces at midnight tomorrow or is there something I need to do? I've already uninstalled and pre loaded ME3 again and still getting the message. Want to make sure I'm ready to play as soon as it launces tomorrow night.

My game was doing the same, if you right click on the game in origin and select repair install it fixes it.

I have the same problem. Tried downloading the game again, as well as reinstalling Origin. No luck.

However, everything works just fine on my laptop.

Same problem. Why has this never been an issue before?

I had the same issue. To fix it I right clicked ME3 in origin and chose Check for Update.

The short version: some of us are pretty much hosed. Updating doesn't work, uninstalling/reinstalling Origin or ME3 doesn't work, and, in general Windows thinks the MassEffect3.exe is written in 16-bit code.

Well, if there's news reports of any mysterious fires consuming the entire east coast, I hope you don't think any less of me..

Update: Repair function worked.  The east coast shall remain intact... for now...

On my third EA tech "advisor" now. So far, no resolution in sight. To follow Drew's lead, the west coast should be very, very afraid right about now.
