I'm in the "ffs the game isn't even out yet so play it before you say anything about it" -stage.

We already know what happens though, brosky.

I'm curious as to what this has to do with Mass Effects gameplay and or story.

Pretty much into fifth, with occasional bouts of two. But "acceptance" doesn't mean that I accept those endings as good or anything. Just that I accept that they exist. And that a better ending needs to be added.

I prefaced the post with "regarding ME3's ending", which is of course a part of the story!  :)  This is simply a post asking people what stage of grief they are at based on what they've heard and/or seen from it.

Oh yeah, the dark side is still strong with you LOL.  I can tell it's there...  Just beneath the skin.

I've accepted the facts, and quite frankly I'm glad.

I'm going to reserve my final judgement for when I play through and beat it myself, but at least I got this over with before hand.

They won't add others so it's best if you just go away.

They aren't going to add endings to appease whiners.

I go from feeling like I could vomit to being on the verge of tears.
I'm not buying any DLC, because MY SHEPARD don't care about some dang kid. My Shepard saw his parents die on Mindoir as a colonist kid, and his whole unit die on Akuze, (Toombs is alive but he wants me dead). He's been living with psychological issues for ever.

The Only thing that is going to haunt MY SHEPARD's dreams are the unresolved feelings He has for Samara, MY Shepard wants to deal with them because he knows the Reapers could end up killing him or Samara. He wants to deal with them and address them while they both have a chance too.
My Shepard, don't give 2 poops about that dumb kid who died. That dumb kid don't matter. The Batarians that died in the Arrival DLC would Haunt MY Shepard more than that kid.

The fact that Jack was struggling with issues my Shepard has dealt with such as Issues of Abandonment , and Jack is now Miss for unknown reasons will Haunt my Shepard more than that kid.

It's ok because It's all some grandpa telling the story to his grandson like in the Princess Bride.

If only anticipation was a stage of grief. Otherwise, I haven't even entered it.

*sigh*

It doesn't mean that the story is made up, people. It's just a framing device. Assume reliable narrator unless otherwise indicated.

Frankly I like the idea, because all it indicates is that the story of your Shepard is passed down through generations, because it's that important. It ADDS weight, it doesn't subtract weight.

Granted, it is a bit cheesy and is rather overdone these days, but that's another issue entirely.  It most certainly does not invalidate the games.  It's just a framing device.

Most of us realize what it is and still don't like it :)

Keep in mind also that that's a relatively minor drop of water in a comprehensive ocean of reasons of why people don't like ME3's ending.

I went from stage one ("You're kidding, right? Hahahahaha") right to stage five ("You're not kidding? Hahahahaha"). Talentless hacks who can't be arsed to check their writing against the lore they themselves established, not to mention proof-read it to eliminate glaringly obvious plotholes, don't deserve the time and energy I'd waste feeling angry or desillusioned.

I have hope for the endings that dont seem so good. I hope there is details within the game the leads up to and maybe even stuff the flashes back to previous stuff in ME1 and ME2 the proves that this was leading up to it. I mean Legion sorta hints at this sorta thing happening by pointing out that the Geth follow their own path and not the one "The Old Machines" set forth. It explains why they never really moved out of the Veil too far in my opinion.

Except in ME3 they upgrade themselves with Reaper tech, blatantly ignoring said previously established lore.

Could be stage 2 and/or 5. But does it matter, really? ^_^

Im in the uncharted 3 stage.

This is so very depressingly accurate for me. Two great trilogies crashed hard in the final installment.

In their final act, even.
