Your blind optimism won't make the script rewrite itself. Grow up.

By the time you actually do play the game you won't care.

Just like with the game, I like to skip to the end.

The ending does not bother me.

Oh, they're going to effect people emotionally alright..... Just not in the way Bioware had hoped.iSpitfireee wrote...

I was always at 2, and will stay at it. I cannot believe how many people are in denial, even since the endings were leaked for the first time. "LOL GUISE U RLY TRUST SOMEONE FROM SOMETHING AWFUL?".

After playing through ME3, i can safely say that the leaked script did not execute its self during the story. Only 2 missions had leaked script goals. Oh, and the Leaked Script ending? Yeah you can throw that out the window.

I never thought I'd actually EVER say this, but I think I've lost faith. I used to be a pretty typical fanboi, I can say that in hindsight. I would argue with what I THOUGHT were trolls for hours at a time, defending Bioware ad infinium.
At first, it started with accidentally stumbling upon the ending leaks, I was choked about being spoiled of course, but I was clinging onto how they COULDN'T be the only endings... right?
I fought tooth and nail (so to speak) with people saying that the Normandy crew is ALWAYS stranded, and the mass relays get destroyed no matter what you do. However, I was still clinging to the idea that there HAD to be more endings! (DENIAL STAGE)
I then came across more spoilers, such as the Guardian, (sadly, I was told by a friend who thought I already knew) I started to get angry with the idea of the Guardian... (Why did Sovereign even have to be there in ME1 if the Guardian controlled the Citadel in the first bloody place?!) Along with the possibility that Garrus (my bro), and Liara (LI) will be stranded on a random planet, destined to live apart from me for the rest of their lives!! I want little blue babies DAMMIT!!
Naturally I felt betrayed, insulted, DECEIVED! I refused to believe that Shepard could only live in ONE of the endings (Destroy, which I didn't want to take, seeing as how EDI, the Geth, and the Citadel -along with the millions of people on it- will be destroyed). (ANGER STAGE, coming out of DENIAL)
I prayed for an agreeable scenario, I was willing to pay for a "happy ending", not Disney style, but at least something that would allow me to spill some drinks on the Citadel with the Normandy crew, and then proceed to assist in a galactic restoration effort or SOMETHING! DAMMIT BIOWARE! TAKE MY MONEY! (BARGAINING STAGE)
I willingly looked up spoilers at this point, determined to find the truth...
I found what I was looking for, but was not pleased. I began to realize that the ending I wanted was impossible, and the answers to the "space magic" plot holes would never be revealed... I was saddened.. I felt betrayed by the writers I originally attempted to protect.
I was sad. (DEPRESSION STAGE)
Finally, I decided that this is the way it is. Bioware has made it's decision, and I have to roll with the punches. I am of course, still geared up and ready to play, keeping a level head of optimism for what lies ahead. Not because I'm in denial or think they'll change it, but because I am likely to handwave the ending to establish a headcanon.
As Mac Walters referenced in his blog entry "it is not the destination, it is the journey". While I am absolutely excited for the journey, I have been in denial, angered, depressed, and even tried to bargain with the destination, but have managed to accept it, and will reserve total judgment until reaching it. (ACCEPTANCE STAGE)
Yep.
This is me. SO MUCH. I made my first pre-order with this game, and it will definitely be my last. As much as I wanted to claim my money back from BioWare and EA for giving me such tripe, I realized that this is the end of the line for Shepard, and I really do have to see how this ends. I am going in prepared, and don't think that the journey to the finale will be anything less than epic. But I know better now. I will never be as engrossed in any other series because of this bitter disappointment.

I'll still get it, if only because the CE for 360 is extremely hard to get now. I like having things others don't. I'll play it once, then shelf it. Won't be the first time I spend a lot of money on something that's primary purpose in life is too sit there and look cool. Won't be the last either, but its the last one that has anything to do with Bioware.
Well that is unless they release a Garrus figurine where hes dressed like Batman.

It does oddly. I just find it funny the lengths people go to.

I'll do one run with my LI in the ship and my dextro buds on board, otherwise I won't allow them to join the Normandy again to save them from certain horrid DNA-sucking / lack-of-dextro slow reproduction / deaths.

I was never upset in the first place, about the endings or the auto-dialogue (considering its always been in the series, just with an NPC rambling in story sequences with Shepard staring blankly), or anything.
Hell, I'm more upset about the Reapers. I wanted my mechanical old gods.

Left out stage 1 (played Arrival - saw the writing on the wall, so to speak)
Went straight into stage 2 and cancelled my preorder.
Never believed in stage 3, because realized that Bioware does no longer need or even want me as a customer.
Am now in stage 4. Actually much more depressed, than I thought I would be.
Hope to enter stage 5 soon.
Sort of this, but I learned a LONG time ago to not pre-order BioWare titles. I've been far unhappier since BGII than most. I still haven't forgotten how NWN didn't ship with anything they promised except a lame campaign. The whole DM client thing they promised was vapor wear and what we got was a lousy building tool and some very rumimentary DM tools.
It was a joke. And since then, I've been skeptical.

They won't add others so it's best if you just go away.
And again, the people who like the endings mostly seem to go the ad hominem route to deal with us people who do not like them. Can't you deal with disagreement on a mature basis?
If the moderators would be serious about enforcing those new rules of conduct, you should be gone by now. But of course that won't happen.
Dude, BioWare board. The most aggressive fanboi-trolls on the Internet. You even complain about established, developer admitted mistakes/issues you get flamed.
If they hadn't messed up my account on every merger and boaard swap, you'd see me going all the way back to 1998. And I could tell you some storie about the good old days.... The old threads on 'You must gather your party before venturing forth." The incredible customer service updates with the Disc 4 error in BG I. The Minsc appreciation threads. How the Devs talked about how the re-did much of Minsc's dialog because Jim Cummings (the VA) was so incredibly funny that he took the character to incredible heights... How they came up with the character...
So many good times. So little complaining. And what there was, was handled well and professionally by fixing the game instead of blaming the gamers. Back when BioWare cared and made me a fanboy...
Only to ****** it away with mediocrity and arrogance.

Outhouse pit obviously being Bioware. Contents inside of said pit are DA2, ME3 endings, & ME3 multiplayer.
