I was in denial for weeks until we found out for sure that there WOULD be MP, then it moved to depression, and then to complete and utter apathy. If this game were pushed back another six months right now (even though some have probably already got it), I can honestly say I would not give a single sh*t.

For me it was the multiplayer.

Cool Lightning picture, but honestly I like the multiplayer.
It's for me, how dumbed down the series has been since ME1.

I'll be honest, I like the MP too, but I don't think it belongs in ME3.
And then after that they f-ed up so much else I never got back to caring.

My point exactly. The MP may not belong, but considering how good it turned out rather than the rest of Deus Ex Effect: Battlestar 3...
Yeah.

I expect the rest of the game to be entertaining, but - as I know the endings and how horribly written they are - I'm not looking as forward to beating the game/series as I should be.

EDIT: Seriously, folks, you're making this pony look level-headed and emotionally stable.

Edit: Apparently you can't post in the ME3 forums anymore unless you have it registered to your account xD

I would have to agree with this sentiment, but take out laughing and add in taken back. I equate the reaction to buying a novel, reading the last page of it and then throwing it against the wall. No avid reader would truly do that (let alone read the last page). What you do is you read the whole book from start to finish and then make up your mind. What you may consider a bad ending might actually be very fitting or seeped in meaning and symbolism. No sense in draining yourself emotionaly that much before looking at something yourself and giving it a true time of day.
The same applies to gaming.

I preordered me3 last summer, and *believed* that it will be great, it's the final episode in shepard's story, and according to them(back then) it allows them to do whatever they want because they don't have to really plan out some subplots for future stuff. I was like, great, sounds like they are going all out and going to make a good game. *preorder*-click
But then, *this* is what we get...so anything that comes from bioware in the future...think 3 times before you act
business *is* business...though, there are ways to go about doing business

Balek-Vriege, if I opened up a book and saw that its last page had nothing but a picture of a man's raised middle finger and a speech bubble that says "HA HA YOU STUPID DRONE YOU BOUGHT THIS, GO FRELL YOURSELF" in Comic Sans, you're damn right I'm going to drop it.
But that's not the case here. This is more like I opening up the last page of the final novel of a series you have been emotionally invested in and saw that the hero was fading, looking at beautiful leaves blowing in the wind as he drew his last breath, then getting angry/depressed he dies. Maybe since you already invested so much time in the series, you should actually read the book from page 1 or page 456ish before making a final judgement.
Even if somoene tells me the whole story of a novel or film I will still watch it incase there's things someone missed, or because they didn't get it (that happens alot). I don't know how many times someone has given me a story rundown, I read/watch the book/movie, then have to give them a rundown of what actually happened or the meaning of x, y and z.

You think that this is about Shepard dying? I couldn't give less of a crap about Shepard. This is about having NONE OF MY CHOICES MATTER. This is about one of the worst twists in video game history. This is about the game company selling cards that literally allow people to bypass PLAYING THE GAME just so they can play multiplayer in a series that never had that feature - in a series in which its addition delayed the release of the game by MONTHS and occupying time better spent on tightening the gameplay and smoothing out the glaring plot holes.
