What's the verdict on them now that waves of new spoilers are out?  Has the ME1 choice to kill/save the queen been neutralized through magical Reaper queen discovery skills as indicated by the old spoilers?  Can you un-indoctrinate the queen if you did save her?  Some Rachni allies would be cool.

If you released the Rachni Queen in ME1, during ME2 an Asari on Illium tells you through her: "Shepard, we hide.  We borrow.  We build.  But we know that you seek those who soured the songs of our mothers.  When the time comes, our voice will join with yours and our crescendo will burn the darkness clean. Thank you Shepard. The Rachni will sing again because of you."

So if anything else happens besides that.....then.....

Really want to know? AFAIK no queen save means obviously no help in ME3. There are still rachni, but they dont know you. If saved queen, then she is indoctrinated when reapers arrive. However, you can save her again, and she later becomes a war asset

Oh for crying out loud. I really have to stop reading replies. lol Do they at least logically explain her indoctrination or is it a one-sentence-type thing (i.e. the "easy way out")?

Sounds like it's pretty much exactly the same as the supposedly "old, changed" plot line that leaked in November.

Heavy Rachni Spoilers, look away now if you don't want to know.

The rachni are always in the game. They've been indoctrinated and and are being modified into soldiers for the Reapers. If you saved the queen she was captured by the Reapers and is being used to birth their army. If you killed the queen the Reapers created a clone creature refered to in the leaks as the "Breeder Queen." There's an N7 mission dealing with them.

I'm loving the level of detail that is going into the game. Your spoilers have just confirmed the thought that they've put into it.

If you killed her, she's simply retconned with a Reaper Surrogate.
At the end of the ME3 Rachni mission you get a choice:

1. Kill the Queen, Grunt and his commandos live.

2. Spare the Queen, Grunt and his commandos die.
a) If Grunt is loyal, he lives, commandos still die.
B) If you spare the Surrogate Queen she betrays you and you gain nothing.

Riiiiight, replace NPC X with NPC Y is a ton of details. And the only actual ingame difference is a bunch of different numbers.

Can you still gain rachni as a war asset if you kill both Queen (the Queen in the first one and the surrogate in the second?)

Loyal from 2? Or is there a loyalty mission for him in 3?

How is that not a consequence? You can make a loved character live...:?

What amazing consequence do you think a minor character like Grunt should make? Do you think he or the rachni shpould be indispensable to the war against the reapers? Bioware would have to take 10 years and 10 times the buget to make every minor character have hours and hours of exlusive content...Imo what we got is good enough

People like you never think how this works on a developer side, its all about entitled mentality here and if THEIR minor issue dosent get 10 hours of dialogue or years of developement that means Bioware sucks and they hate their fans.

Yeah its just numbers, if you killed the Queen, there shouldn't have been any Rachni in ME3. Thats a consequence for you. I don't understand why didn't they do it this way. It easier and better.

The fact that you just KNOW isn't really an actual ingame consequence. I could just as easily close my eyes during that scene.

BioWare always nullfies your choices into some crappy text (emails/epilogues). A consequence would mean actual ingame gameplay content.

Bioware would have to take 10 years and 10 times the buget to make every minor character have hours and hours of exlusive content...Imo what we got is good enough

Funny how The Witcher 2 has an early choice that splits 2/3 of the game into completely different directions, with different quests each with completely different choices, different locations, different characters. And they did it with a much smaller budget than BiowEAre.
Fallout New Vegas had 4 different endings each with a set of different quests leading up to them.

But I guess DA2 proved they wanna make everything with the smallest budget and in the shortest time possible.

People like you never think how this works on a developer side, its all about entitled mentality here and if THEIR minor issue dosent get 10 hours of dialogue or years of developement that means Bioware sucks and they hate their fans.

And Вiоdrоnеs keep failing to realize that that's just a BS excuse since several RPGs have ten times the consequences of all BiowEAre games combined.

BiowEAre was right. They DO want Call of Duty audience. They also want the minimal effort that goes into making those games

They have some ground forces and a potential in-game cutscene rendering, I was expecting fleets after all the news reports of (ships matching profile) but it seems not.

Making assumptions about developer time and resources is a stupid act and you should stop this immediately.

I can confirm that this worked in my playthrough.  I had saved the ME1 queen, chose her in ME3, but still got Grunt and his squad.

No, You can't . Because this queen from ME3 is totally indoctrinated and you will loose her no matter what option you get.

If you saved the one from ME1 she will still fight the indoctrination and recognize you, thus making her offsprins a war assest to complete the Crucifi if you save her in ME3 that is.

I heard his squad dies but you can save Grunt and the Queen.  I'm glad to know the squad survives.
