Okay, recap. ME3 has, in essence, a Special Collectible in-game, this Fish, that, when received by Kelly, provides not only EMS Points (how much exactly?) but also a special Codex entry (do we even know what this Codex entry is about?) However, in order to get said fish one must have "romanced" Kelly (had her up for dinner) and accepted her offer to take care of your Fish while away in ME2. That sums it up?

Right, well, question: I've never pursed the Kelly romance. She's nice, but I knew I was going to romance Tali from the start and as long as you feed your fish between every two missions they're fine. What happens if you flirt with Kelly but have a official LI on the Ship? Do you have to have one of those "We can see each other anymore," talks and she stop feeding your fish?

I mean, I've never played my Shepard as a Jerk, even slightly. The closest thing was not staying loyal to my ME1 LI but that was only *after* Ashley called Shepard a fool, traitor, and questioned his motives despite everything they went through. Tali went through the same things, minus Eden Prime, and she didn't question John for a second. Plus, I just liked her better. Anyway, got off topic; so, right, with Kelly, what happens if you go after another LI while flirting with her?

Nothing, Kelly is not even considered a 'real' romance. Flirting with her and dinner in ME2 does not count as cheating on your ME1 LI (If you want to stay loyal), and does not bring up any issues with your ME2 LI. Hell, if it wasn't for the flirting (Seriously Shep, 'I'd embrace you'?) , you could headcannon it as two friends having dinner together, as friends do.

I don't know what happens for Shepard's that were exclusively waiting for those LI's in ME3 though (The S/S options and that).

It's possible to just feed the fish yourself after every mission.

Oh, well, that's good to know. Honestly I've never really had a problem with the flirting. It's just flirting. However, I just didn't want it to end up where you had to have that "I'm an ****," conversation where you tell her, "Look, it's been fun, but I love so and so..." If that never comes up, then it's not something I'll have a problem with. I'll just refrain from fliriting after the Feed Fish offer and it's easily chalked up to just two adults having some well intentioned fun.

1) According to the war assets list, it's listed as 0, but the requirement tells us to talk to Liara after NG+/ 
2) You can invite Kelly up to dinner but still have an LI on the ship or LIs from ME1.
3) It's not a romance-romance. You don't get the achievement. You'll have dinner and she'll feed your fish. The most you can do with her is invite her up and she'll do some dirty dancing.

Yeah, but a lot of people forget for some reason. I always just found it annoying having to do it. Glad there's an automatic feeder for the fish in ME3.

Plus it apparently doesn't carry over in ME3, since nobody took care of them when Shepard was imprisoned if you didn't ask Kelly to do it ME3.

...On a more important note, Space Hamster is indeed alive and well apparently! ... I wonder who looked after him.

I don't see how it can carry over when the import file will say "ME2 Romance: No One" if your LI is ME1. If you romanced a squadmate from ME2, then the import file will say that person for ME2.

I'm just repeating what I've read. You could have the opportunity to start a romance with her in ME3 if you're single... or something, I just know she did have script for her romance.

Well, gonna do a ME2 speed run today. As soon as I have the "perfect" save, then I'll import it to ME3 and start playing the SP part. Until there I'll just play the MP sometimes, just to have some level 20 mp characters ready to import when I start the SP.

Yeah. Just be nice to Kelly, invite her to dinner, and she'll feed your fish. After that, you can focus all your attention on Tali.
