If she said she would feed it, then yeah, you're probably safe.Iw fourtwozero wrote...

She shows up for a moment when you see her again in ME3.KefkaGestahl wrote...
I know people have said that you can get her to feed the fish without a romance, but the way that she smiles when you agree to call her Kelly. It's the same way Ashley smiled in Mass Effect when you were nice to her on the Normandy after Eden Prime. I don't like this move. I'm not going to replay the game simply for some damn fish, but not having Kelly show up at all really bothers me.

If you say "catch" is friendship, if you say "embrace" it's something more.Random Jerkface wrote...
Odd. Because I've never gotten the offer without having to pick that horrible slice of sleaze.Aesieru wrote...
Nope, I just catch her, not embrace or let her fall.
You also have to speak with her after every mission, and pick the "best nice" option everytime. After Thane or Samanta loyalty she should suggest the dinner (I always brought the fish before that).
If you say "embrace" there's sometimes more flirteous options when you chat with her, but with "catch" you can have the dinner too.

There are so many conflicting reports. I thought somebody with a space edition said that she didn't show up at all if you didn't romance her? I'm confused. Either way, I'll just have to accept it and move on. My Shepards made the decision not to flirt with Kelly. If the game interprets that as being unfriendly, then so be it. I just don't understand why they couldn't have had some alliance officer take care of your fish instead.Elegana wrote...

If you say "catch" instead of "embrace", It'll be considered as friendship. As long as you have dinner with her and she feeds your fish, she will show up in ME3. Tank said she would show up if she was alive, but according to Xoisite, who's played the game 3 times now, the third time she showed up after he had dinner with her in ME2.KefkaGestahl wrote...

...That's what I was talking about. I didn't invite her to dinner and I never got the "catch" dialogue because I told her that we should keep our relationship professional. So, she never shows up if you didn't invite her to dinner? That's stupid. I didn't rage over the endings, but this is close to making me very unhappy.Elegana wrote...

I hope I don't suffer from some terrible fate because I didn't take kelly to dinner and then get a fish that's indestructible and capable of destroying the reapers. Talk about irony
You and me both. I just finished up my canon run yesterday, I always fed my own fish and never flirted with Kelly, or had her to dinner whatever. And I'd really hate to have to backtrack to pre-suicide mission at this point to change that unless there is something OMGAMAZING about these fish. And since there are no details...screw it...lol

I can live without the fish. It's the fact that she apparently never shows up if you didn't take her to dinner that has me up in arms. I saved her life. The least she could do is show up. She better at least send me some damn e-mail.jkvaughn wrote...

Thanks for saving me from the collectors! I still can't forget what happened... It's been hard, but I'll make it through.
Oh, and your fish died. Sorry.
From, Kelly Chambers".
...I'm sorry, I couldn't help it. I'm terrible at times. ;_;

Thing is, Kelly doesn't show up in ME3 with your fish unless you had dinner with her in ME2. At least, that's the case so far with the Space Editions.Shadowstalker79 wrote...
There are two ways to keep the fish alive guys. You can either romance Kely to the point that she says she will take care of your fish... this will then allow you to go to Illium, buy the fish and then not have to worry about them dying. OR... just after the crew gets taken and you finish up any outstanding side quests and loyalty missions, go back to illium buy the fish just before you do the suicide mission. Now if you went and did any outstanding quests before jumping right into the suicide mission, the longer you took, you will probably lose Kelly anyway but because you bought the fish just before doing the last mission, they will still be alive as there will be no other missions left. Youre fish only die if you dont feed them between missions. So again, buy them before the last mission, make sure you dont have anything more to do and then you are good to go.
