Wow, Femshep looks a lot better in CGI form than Broshep! That's pretty awesome--and unexpected. Makes me wonder if we'll see a Femshep launch trailer someday (not fan-made, I mean, though I expect we'll see one of those again too).

I look at it as breaking down barriers one at a time.  First we get trailers with the female version of the player character (even CGI ones, wow!), then down the road they'll actually start putting male LIs in trailers.

I mean, look at the advertising for the Dragon Age franchise.  Alistair and Anders are storywise, extremely important to their respective games, yet they were very much downplayed in marketing.  Why it is that way, I can only speculate.

Huh. I wasn't aware of that issue with DAII (wasn't really following the Dragon Age games to start with in the first place.)

It would have been too expensive to include Kaidan as well and I'm not sure I'd want to see him in this trailer seeing how uncanny valley FemShep, Ashley and especially the little girl look (she looks like SimPal Cindy from The Sixth Day

Then they shouldn't have even done "Who would you like to see in the trailer" in the first place if Kaidan was never going to be in it. I swear to god that it seems that everyone hates Kaidan to the point that it's depressing. :|

Uncanny Valley is pretty much impossible to avoid nowdays anyway x_x

No, it was asked AFTER the Reinstated trailer. (Jack and Tali weren't shown in that if I recall right?? Jack didn't pop up until the launch trailer, I believe?)

I don't honestly know how I can be happy about it when it just feels like a slight to me. :|
