Just wanted to add that I love the way they recut the combat scene and the music: it felt more kinetic and visceral somehow and less self consciously "EPIC". Or perhaps I simply feel more involved because it's an action scene with two women on screen; though I'm sorry Kaiden hasn't had similar exposure to Ash.
I thought the lull in the music, with the female vocal harmony, was a much better, more dramatic choice; and thematically appropriate!
