In ME3 you can buy veteran pack with bioware points or whatever is the currency to points relations !!

Thankfully enough you get to buy them with in game credits as well.

And Spectre Pack is 60k credits. you get to get a gold card in it, will satisfy people having a hard time unlocking the classes

Gone to play a bit

Edit: 60 bioware points for Vet packs, 180 for spectre pack

In the full version of Mass Effect 3 multiplayer, players obtain Reinforcement Packs using credits earned while playing the game.  These packs may include weapons, upgrades, consumables and new characters to play. Based on player feedback during the demo period, the drop rate for rare race/class combinations and weapons has been improved.

For players who do not wish to spend time earning these multiplayer credits through matches, they will have the option to purchase certain packs through real currency.  Our goal is to allow all Mass Effect 3 players the ability to experience the best equipment, characters, etc in multiplayer regardless of how much time they have to spend. :)

In before $10 character packs. Explains why Bioware didn't bother making a character creator.

Yes, you explain that as the reasoninig, but from what we've seen from the last two games you've made, your intention is money. With the ten dollar From Ashes already, you're making bank. I understand that, but don't try to excuse it. :|

It's quite satisfying earning credits in multiplayer. I doubt more than 3% of players would consider it an option to spend real money on equipment packs.

Huh. That resembles a sound business plan. How dare BioWare make money to stay in business. Stop using logic and reason, Jack!

BTW, missed you terribly! Image IPB

Its just a "stupid" coop game ... whats the big deal about it ?
How can I gain unfair advantages through real money, if its NOT a competitive game ?

People see the devil everywhere these days ...

But this isn´t fault of bioware its a fault of EA, EA would make money even selling u the same every year telling that is a new one (like the FIFA..)

oh bioware, i am dissapointed. I played the demo online for about 8 hours playtime and i almost unlocked all the characters, which was quite fun (the unlocking of characters part), and i cant understand why someone would pay to miss one of the points of multiplayer in a game like this.

Is fifa as bad as turbotax, where they give the same software without patching loopholes that let you install new states for free for the last 5 years?

I don't see the problem.

I can still earn new characters and packs by using in game credits. If people want to actually spend dollars on these packs then good for them.

Why are people complaining? You can play the game and get the packs through credits instead of actual currency. Spending actual money will be for the lazy people who are too stupid to realize that they can simply get the packs through playing the game anyway.

Gosh, people whine about anything these days. And comparing it to "From Ashes" is a bit of a stretch, in fact, you can't even compare.

Like Mike Ditka says, "Stop It!"

What right do you have to say what people can't spend their money on?

Is it stupid? Probably. I ain't gonna be doing it, that's for sure. But if people want to, that's their business.

EA always do this type of thing - it's pretty distasteful in my view, but people can spend their money how they please.

You misinterpret me. I never said anything to the contrary. If people want to waste money on the packs, then so be it. I won't be hurt by it. It just bothers me that people will complain about it when we aren't required to purchase packs with actual currency and there is a much easier and free way to earn them via playing the game. Thats all.

How is it distasteful? It in no way harms the experience and it is simply a way to get some more money. If someone wants to actually pay for it, then be my guess but it isn't harming me at all since I'm using in game currency.

They just want to stockpile as much resources for the turmoil ahead.
