Had to go to bed a few hours ago so I missed Emily's last tweets. Emily Wong, you shall be remembered. I promise I'll ram a few Reapers for you :crying:

And BioWare, that was some seriously good stuff. The writing was excellent, yes, but for me it's the role-playing people were doing on #solcomms that really made this an unforgettable experience. It. Was. Awesome. Thank you so much for letting us be part of this.

(I'm not thanking you for Emily, though! :()

Aw, c'mon! Really? Killed off in a tweet? This better not be canon.

Well it is just Emily Wong... A character with no doubt, but a very small one at best. I think any death in-game would not yield as much talk as she got here so don't tell me "killed in a tweet????".

This was brilliant BTW.

Killing her off on an unofficial twitter feed is stupid, sorry. Yes, it was well-written and a lot of fun to read. But I'd still rather something like this be done in-game, in an official capacity.

Even so, Twitter (where many players will never even see it) is a terrible place to kill off a character.

It was brilliant. I doubt anyone would miss her if she didn't show in the game and for those of us who did follow it it was a hell of a ride that is a lot more than whatever cameo they'd have for her in-game.

They ran out of time to kill her off in game. Be glad it's not a $10 dlc.

Here I am again and Emily Wong is dead?

I hope she flew right into the "eye" of the Reaper, screaming: "All right, you alien ****s! In the words of my generation: Up Yours!"

And hopefully the Reaper then exploded... but thats probably just wishful thinking.

Yeah, I suppose you're right. I'm just upset she's gone... (which only goes to show just how well done this really was, that I'm actually upset at all by it)

I quickly drew Emily Wong in her last moments.

Rest in peace, maybe Shepard will grant you that interview in the next life.

I'm cool with Bioware killing her off in a tweet. She was a relatively minor character.

You want the game to follow Emily around for twelve hours as she describes the Reaper's arrival on earth?

Mass Effect is a multimedia story. Some of it is told in the game, but parts of it are told in comics, novels, and on twitter.

I'm pretty sure I never said that. Do not put words in my mouth. And as I stated mere moments ago, I'm just upset that she's actually gone is all. Relax.

Those of you complaining about her being killed off on Twitter obviously weren't here throughout the entire thing - it was a hell of a ride.

I was there for the whole thing. I was just in shock and living near a certain river in Egypt.

Thats awesome! Although I'm not sure I approve of that reaper in the background casually smoking a giant cigarette :P No, I'm kidding. That's fantastic work :D

Of all the hype for the game so far, this was the first bit that really moved me. I got quite excited by the trailer, but this... Poor Emily!

Brilliant stuff BW! Simple yet v effective, and surprisingly moving. Only complaint I have is that it has put me in rather sombre mood this morning :-(
