I'm just about old enough to remember listening to story's on the radio, no tv, they existed but only if you had the money, your imagination can conjure up scenes far better than any visuals, my last great experience was Jeff Waynes War of the worlds LP.

This has to be a first - canon dramatic death scene for a fictional character on Twitter.

Ooooolaaaaa! That chilled me as a kid! Actually thinking about it that was probably an inspiration for the Reapers' scary siren. There are no new ideas...

Ah Emily we hardly knew ye. Kinda shame she died over Twitter, even more so considering we didn't even get to see her in ME2. BUT I have to admit that was probably the best bit of adverting I've ever seen for a game, nicely written, a lot of fun, helped bring home how dark and brutal this war is.

Shame it started so late in the day yesterday I had to go to bed, by the looks of things it finished at about 4 odd o'clock in the morning UK time, would have liked to seen the whole thing live :? oh well lest Twitter kept it up.

Something to motivate you for the fight! Sucks that she died but how realistic is it if everyone from the ME universe lived? It can't always be Red shirts.

If they ever made an ME movie based on 3 then this is ur opening sequence

Caught up with the feed this morning and, honestly, shed a tear. It's been a suprisingly moving way to draw us into the fiction, and a fitting end to a brave, beloved minor character: thanks guys.

RIP Emily. I was under the impression that she survived and made it to Normandy as the reporter. Looks like it was the wrong one.

Wow. I didn't think they'd kill her off in this - Well played, Bioware. RIP Emily, you will be missed at the Citadel!

Actually, they got it from opening a garbage can and thought it was creepy. Pure coincidence.

The reapers cant come to Europe coz of the dust from a volcano - all flights are suspended until further notice.

Been following the #solcomms tag on & off overnight - definitely one of the best uses of social media I've seen in a while.  Well done to Bioware & everyone who joined in.

I first listened to that during a family vacation when I was about 10.  Imagine if you will, driving through outback Australia (ie the middle of nowhere), listening to this on my walkman - I can still remember the feelings it evoked, and everytime I hear it I can still recall the sheer emptyness around us as we drove through the predawn light that morning.

I had to go to sleep last night, but I come home from work today and the first thing I did was check out Emily's twitter feed.

Dude, I swear, that album was the very thing that made me into a sci-fi fan (coincidentally, it was also the thing that inspired me to be a musician). I still can't listen to it at night, especially disc 2, 'cos it still gives me the galloping heebies.

Off-topic fun fact - Jeff Wayne is doing a reimagined version this year, with Liam Neeson as the narrator. It cannot be as good as the original, obviously, but I'm intrigued how it will turn out.

But yeah, I said it as soon as I saw the very first trailer with Big Ben: bet I know what Bioware used as inspiration for the reaper invasion... :P

Woah, look! @TheReaperLegion:

#solcomms INTERRUPT: Engaging minor human forces in Austin, TX @LtFeller103rd. Minimal resistance. Estimated Reaper loss: 2

It keeps mentioning targets it's focusing in on, but I think that's the first message from there that mentions any Reaper loss

Yeah, that's not offficial, you know.

#solcomms INTERRUPT: You're absolutely correct. As the owner of @TheReaperLegion, I was simply playing along with everyone else, including parallel posts to @AllianceNewsNet for the fall of Emily Wong. Just wanted the 'other side' to get some representation. :)
