I too have a question. I see my first one was answered already (no SR-2A visits or Armour Change between Earth and Mars), but I figured I might as well ask my second.
Can you change/customize weapons for you and your squad before dropping onto Mars? Like a pre-mission loadout screen or something?
Not immediately, but pretty soon after.

You imported your ME1/ME2 character without problems ?
That is great to hear! Nice impressions, can't wait to play it myself!
Yeh I thought that was only a Demo issue wasnt it?

Another question, is any of the item-based DLC working for you guys? The Collector rifle, or any other weapons that were registered as "Unrecognized items" under DLC?
Can anyone playing tackle this one?

Yes, sort of. There are some benches on Mars.

On a slightly unrelated note, does anyone else use a GTX 580 to play the game? Isn't there a setting to try to compensate for lip-syncing? I think my audio receiver also has an option, but if it is only for dialogue, then everything else will get messed up. Ah well.
I can't WAIT to play this. Thanks again to the early birds for keeping us updated.
No...different issue. That is HDMI audio sync to video. The ME3 issue is around the lips not moving with spoken words. It is an animation issue.

Screw them...complainers whine about everything. Play it and judge for yourself.

No armor changes yet but weapons, yes. I am on the second mission and haven't even toured the Normandy yet. I will say the game starts out FAST and keeps the pedal to the metal at first.
And, the cinematic emotions are awesome. It is no surprise that Ash/Kaiden is with you to start and my Shep was LI with Ash and didn't cheat in ME2. I am already sensing a lot of tension there and it is constant back and forth about trust....also, glances and looks. Awesome.
Does this mean you can't customize armor before going to the next mission, after earth?
No...it is pretty intense back to back missions. The next mission is an extension of Earth.
OK, here's my question. I played a lot of the MP and liked the enemy AI and how they would all advance on you and surround you. In the Demo SP game, the fights often could be done from cover with the enemy never really approaching you, just bouncing back and forth from cover to cover but always staying away (it was up to you to close in and get personal). This also happened a lot in ME2, noticeably in the suicide mission. I would notice that at least in some fights the enemy never actually closed on you beyond the last layer of cover. There would always be a no man's land between you and the bad guys unless YOU closed in. How is it doing in ME3 so far? Are the enemies more like the MP enemies or more like the SP enemies (always keeping some distance)?

It's great to hear something good about the game, since I have heard so much flaming thous far.
Lip-synch has always been off, I don't mind that.
Hammer6767 say's if "you love ME1 and ME 2, you'll love this" but Bawsee says that the "auto dialogue is rampant" I'm actually sick typing that word but I have to get my point across.
I'm confus.
I haven't seen what you are describing. It feels like ME1 and ME2 so far, for me. Possibly much ado about nothing?

So far, yes, it is better than the demo. Cerberus enemies flank, etc. They play like MP game in the demo.

Most of us complain about the endings of the game. I have little doubt most of the game before that will be good.

Most of complainers complain about their own favorite complaint. If you go to the spoiler forums, you will see what I mean.

Well, as I haven't played the game to see the endings yet, that is kind of a chicken before the egg argument, right? I mean, why find out the ending to every movie in advance? Wouldn't the journey there tell the story and give you perspective.
Moral of story, if you haven't played it, stop complaining and play it first! THEN complain if you need to.

Maybe not you but there are a lot of people complaining about everything that is changed from ME2 (dialogues, squad, weight/ cooldown system, grain filter...) and yeah, sometimes the complaints are legit (ME1 face import) and it's OK to be vocal about you know for sure, but overreact about things that are just rumours like moaning little girls is very disturbing. At least for a 38 year old bastard like me
Just play the game and if it is a piece of s**t send Bioware to hell and never preorder their games again. But for the love of Lemmy (=God), stop this cryin nonsense.

Not in game menus or config utility. It is annoying to me...but it has been a problem since ME1 so no big deal

I had the chance to play the game for a good 3-4 hours today. Didn't have a chance to import, since the copy i played was at work. Played it on the 360.
Some minor location spoilers included, but nothing that will make you cast voodoo spells on me.
Likes
*Loading times are, at least so far, shorter then those in ME2.
*Art style is much improved. Citadel looks amazing. Each section looks more distinct from other sections.
*Story so far. They give good reason for why the council doesn't just blindly rush to humanity's help, and a lot of old characters make a comeback here.
*Most of the facial expressions. Still far from perfect, but at least there seems to be a bit more emotion in the facial expressions then there was in ME1 and 2.
*Shooting parts are amazing. Controls feel much tighter. I played gears of war 2 again yesterday, and i actually preffer ME3 over Gears 2 when it comes to how the game handles.
*guns feel and sound amazing.
Dislikes:
*Facial expressions during a certain scene. Don't want to spoil anything, but god that was an awfull scene to watch. I think the emotion they wanted to bring across was sadness, instead i felt nothing but the desire to smash my TV to bits just to make the scene stop.
Luckily, that scene, and the scene with the kid from the demo are the only 2 scenes i didn't like so far, and the other scenes have been great.
*New Normandy. I get that it's an alliance vessel and all, and that that means change for the Normandy, but does the alliance save on proper lighting or something? Under Cerberus, the hallways of the vessel were well lit, and it was a neat and tidy ship. Now you have cabels running over the floor, the hallways are as dark as they were during SR-1 days and i get the feeling there won't be much to do on most places on the new normandy.
Feel free to ask questions. Like i said, only played the game for 3-4 hours, but if i can help, i'l be glad to.

I'd say it depends on the situation. In the smaller hallway shootouts they tend to keep their distance, but in the bigger enviroments, they try to flank you.
I'm not playing the game on insanity or hardcore at the moment. since i didn't import my character. Hoping to be able to play wih an imported character tomorrow and start on hardcore.
