Thank you, Odin 1999, everybody whining about a game they never even played yet, give me a break!!!!  Bioware is too big of a company to let their fans down!  If you rushed through the game, you are probably gonna get a ****ty ending... we know how that worked out in ME2!!  But if you take your time in this one, I think you will get a satisying ending like in ME2.  I can't wait, 12 more hours and I will be playing!!!

I'm not back peddling I'm trying to inject reasoning into this as well as enjoying my lunch hour. Yet as someone who is a combat vet happy endings only always exist in films made by Disney. Stuff happens and if it isn't a sunshine ending and people are upset about it they need to wake up.

Or people need to apply to game company or make their own company and make better product if they think they can do better.

Trust me, the endings, the animations, the graphics, the writing, the voice acting, etc. - it's all true. Everyone was saying it, ppl are playing it right now and they confirm everything that has been said up to this point. There's no trolling.

Also, I believe people being upset is justified if they have spent money/time on the ME/2 and then all the sudden the series takes an abrupt turn for the worse.

I won't go into the all the details on the endings as they are covered in depth elsewhere.  Most people are not looking for a disney ending.  There are plenty of other options the devs could have gone with to provide an optional less grim ending for the crew (based on player choices) for the players who have played the original two games and expect the theme to continue.  I would be equally upset if none of the endings were grim since the lack of either spectrum IMO breaks the choice mechanic Bioware has pushed.

In ME2 you come back from the dead and then you can go on a suicide mission where not a single person dies.  Reality has long since left the station.  The point some people like these games is because it allows them to jump through hoops and achieve that unrelaistic hero ending that a rational person knows isn't really possible in real life.

The frustration stems from ME3 breaking (or supposedly breaking) the choice mechanism.  If it was an on rails story game then nobody would have grounds to complain.

Have you seen all 6 endings? Where each and everyone one of them turn the relays a different color, and all end with the Normandy making an inbred colony where Garrus and ali ar BBQ'd?

What a silly thing to say.   Nobody's slashing their wrists.   They're just pissed that all that time and effort into playing a game was pissed away by BioWare who, in a spectaluar failure to be clever, screwed the pooch and cost them a lot of sales.

When I heard about these ending issues...    I looked them up.   They seem legit.   And I'm now waiting for the bargain bin.   There are somethings in the game I wished to complete, but i certainly don't wish to pay $60 for a bad-ending piece of crippleware.

Maybe, if they do what Bethesda did and fix the ending, I'll buy it.   But at this point in time, I'm not interested.    I have a TON of games I have yet to complete:   

Civilization V
Shogun 2
Gothic 3
X3 (the new expansion)
Medieval II (still haven't finished the main campain yet!)
Fallout 3 DLC packs
Fallout NV -- Main campaign is only half-done, plus I haven't done any DLCs...
My third Oblivion play-through.
My second Skyrim play-through.

And by the time I finish this list, if ever, I'll have more games to chose from... 

Deus Ex Human Revolutio -- still haven't bought it.
The Secret World MMO -- looks interesting.
Diablo III -- I know Blizzard won't foul it up...
Witcher II
BioShock Infinite
XCom Apocolypse.
Guild Wars 2


So why waste $60 on a piece of crippleware with a crappy ending?   I have a lot of good games to play.   And a lot of good games are coming down the pike.

I hope you are right.  I actually really would like someone to explain the multiple sources regarding the mined data.  I put no stock in youtube videos since those just show one ending and are not proof that others dont exist.

How about I enjoy the game, but still not enjoy particular aspects of it. And those aspects I can try to bring to Bioware's attention in the hopes that they improve in the future.

And then I get a sad because the signal to noise ratio is something like 1/20.

Do you expect people who enjoyed 1 and 2 wont want to enjoy 3 ? They just can't face it getting ruined.

I won't even go so far as to say it's ruined if the endigns are true.  Just extremely dissapointing.  Kind of like a great book series that has a terrible OOC ending or something and ends the series on a sour note.  Doesn't ruin the whole series but leave a bad taste.
