Not sure how to get around this problem, I basically can not move the story forward because it freezes and crashes to the desktop after the flashback cutscene.

I've tried everything, Including the 'Threaded Optimization' suggestion, And the suggestion of limiting ME3 to only run on two cores, But nothing has helped.

I was IMMENSELY LOVING the game, Right up until this. It NEEDS TO BE FIXED ASAP!!!

No change, unless someone can shed some light on what could be causing the problem I think we are pretty well stuck.

To be honest, Since multiple people are having the same problem, And the crash happens at the same point, Every time, I dont think that repairing the install will help.

My suspicion is that something is messed up in the actual DLC content downloaded through Origin.

So far, The EA person im speaking to, Had me clear out my temp folder, And run the game as administrator (duh) but the crash still happened.

Now they are trying to claim that the DLC will only work once the game has been released!!!

Ok, I visited the signal location second and I didn't crash. I know it's vague but hopefully it makes sense.

How do you get around visiting the signal location first?

Hrm, I'm trying to find the right way to articulate this....you can access the pod scene before the signal location for whatever reason getting the signal second didn't cause my game to lock up and freeze like it did when I went to it first.

I CAN CONFIRM THAT YOUR METHOD WORKS!!!!

Instead of going to the 'right' of the map, First, Go towards the 'back' of the map, And access the pod opening video first, THEN go to the 'right' of the map, And access the signal video.

The game will not crash this way.

Ah thankfully this worked for me.

After crashing 10 times in a row, rebooting my computer, disabling SLI, changing video drivers, running in different resolutions, disabling video settings, it crashed every single time after that part.

But watching the flashbacks in backwards order like this indeed works.

There's gonna be a crapstorm tomorrow when people play this en masse and it keeps crashing. It doesn't seem to matter what hardware you're on. Hopefully they see this thread.

Do NOT bother troubleshooting it, it's a bug with the DLC. Watch the pod flashback before the signal one, or crashy crash.

to be safe, make a hard save on the normandy before you start the mission, just in case.

I have the digital deluxe version and the dlc crashes no matter which order I get the disk

Hammer the escape key over and over as the flashback ends and you return to the party talking, you will get the game menu up, it will save and the game will continue. Mine crashed 3 times before I saw this tip, and it definitely worked.
