I had it when attempting to view the video in building 6 first; tried the windowed mode - no improvement. Tried doing the other one first, despite the vids making more sense the other way around, held shift as soon as video ended, worked OK. Not sure which was the cure, but... Anyway, Female Shepard, imported from ME2 (which in turn was imported from ME1) but used default face, using the N7 sniper rifle and basic pistol, with Liara and James as my squad.

Happens to me all the time, not in any one specific mission, so count your blessings.

My first playthrough I didn't have this issue, mainly because I went and recovered the opening instructions before I recovered the access code - that is, I got the part farthest from the landing zone first, where the door is on the back side of the base on the "ledge" before I got the part that was off of the small side courtyard. The second playthrough I ran into this crash while going for the courtyard part first. Tried reloading, rebooting, re-everything, then I decided to get the other part instead and was able to continue with no problem.

i got the same crash problem, but only with my 2nd character.
1st one was an infiltrator, no issues.
2nd was adept, crashed every time.
however, pressing escape just after cutscene works... well done to the genius who posted that (and fail to bioware for having a COLLECTORS EDITION bug)!

My game crashes when I'm about to land on Eden Prime, or when I load the Eden Prime mission with my squad mates having their DLC gear on.

Looks like I'm getting the same crashes when I activate the signal. I'll probably wait until the next patch release comes out.

Crash happening after the conversation on the Normandy post DLC.
Without fail, on two different character builds, as the conversation ends and black screens.

Seems that the crash is Camera oriented.
It happened in From Ashes, ESC bashing worked.
Now, the same thing is happening in Sanctuary. ESC bashing doesn't work.
The game CTD, when entering the second room  (No door.) after climbing the ladder. (the ladder that drops from the roof.) There is a Med dispenser just to the right, when you enter the room.

Well, as usuall, I don't like my smurf impression, so I'm not holding my breath, that this would be fixed soon. However, I will do what ever I can to find workaround for these crashes.
And if I stumble across a solution, I'll let you guys know. =)

Squad folks at sanctuary: Javic and James. (Tried with other squad members and weapon layout, same crash, at the same place.)

Game freezes when blue Cortez vehicle is about to land on Eden Prime, after the dialogue with T'soni and in my case Garrus.

Game crashes even BEFORE weapon load-out when I have selected my Squad with their DLC GEAR on.

DLC gear does not cause crashes with anything other than From Ashes.

Something to add: I unlocked the From Ashes DLC before I entered the Collector's Edition key and finished installing ME3.

Don't know if that has anything to do with it, but there you have it.

I'm now having the same problem as the OP. This is my second playthrough.

The first time through I was playing a Female Vanguard with a Shotgun and an Assault rifle.

This time, I'm crashing/freezing on a Female Engineer with an Assault Rifle and SMG.

As for the armor, it was a smattering of the interchangeable pieces, can't remember off the top of my head which pieces.

I still think Origin or the game is looking in the wrong directories when the From Ashes is activated ingame. Why else does DLC gear ONLY make the game crash in the From Ashes load-out?

Frustrated I can't figure it out and have to go to work for the next 8 hours, ffs.

And when's Bioware gonna update us on the matter.. seriously?

I check daily for patches. There have been none that fix it.

For your issue, perhaps, Mr. Selfcentered. But not for mine.

Again, mine crashes when the blue vehicle is about to land on Eden Prime. The game doesn't respond to ESC in that entire beginning, dialogues included.

i crash on eden prime right after watching the video in lab 6. I updated me3 to latest version, still happens. I purchased the dlc thru the game and it doesnt show up in origin at all so i cannot patch it seperately if there is a seperate patch. I can find no seperate patch on the me3 website or this website. Any help would be appreciated, id like to continue my game..

I have not experience that problem. I explored the whole area first with the two objectives to view video. I watched the second video that I found first, then went to the first video. The only problem I had was at the end of the level after the first wave of enemy forces. As the second wave approaches, the game lagged. I thought it was going to crash, but it didn't. I turned down the settings but it did not improve until after I killed the second wave and freed the prothean.

Important: My game always crashes when I load a mission with Liara in my squad wearing her COLLECTOR'S EDITION SKIN!! The crash is the same as the crash I have when I'm about to LAND on EDEN PRIME, with the message "MASS EFFECT 3 STOPPED RESPONDING"!

The DLC started mysteriously crashing on my second playthrough, when previously it had worked fine. It seems to have affected the rest of the game, and my first playthrough is now all but impossible to complete.

Pressing the escape key eventually worked for me, but as I've mentioned already, something's gone very wrong with the rest of the game since. I've tried repair installing twice, and it's done nothing to fix it.

Every time I start the game up now, within 20 minutes or so I'll disconnect and a crash is almost always inevitable. My connection had always been constant before the DLC problem arose.
