Crashes on my computer, second playthrough. This is unbelievable. Give us a freaking DLC that works, if it doesn't work, I want a refund.

Submitted an Origin refund ticket today, referenced this thread as proof.

It seems that the DLC corrupts itself and/or that Origin matter-of-factly screws something -- anything! -- up during its installation. File corruption seems to be random per (repair) install. Trust me, I know. Read my posts from one page back for elaboration.

BioWarw, EA, LOOK INTO THIS! Don't let my trial-and-error horror of last evening be for nothing but my own eventual meager satisfaction.

This is idiotic that this bug is still occurring unabated two weeks after being first reported. I did find, however, that pressing ESC repeatedly after each cutscene to enter the HUD menu was enough to bypass the crash. If it is that easy to replicate and bypass you would think it would be easy enough for them to stamp out.

I also get this crash consistently if view the "stasis signal" video first. If I view the "code to open the pod" video first, I get no crash.

Male Infiltrator, started in ME1 and imported into ME2 then ME3. Whichever video I watch first, it happens to hit enough XP to level me up.

I used the work around to see both video, then get to open the pod. Once I come back to the normandy, I get a consistent crash in the cur scene : always, ALWAYS when the prothean speak to me and rush toward me and the cut scene "zoom" onto its head and eye and the lightning ebcome "red" like a flash, the game *stops* and I look at the zoomed head and the eye of the protean. I ve tried windows, full screen, and various option in the graphic option. Never get past the "zoomed eye" and it is AGRAVATING as you can't seem to skip cut scene so every time I try a new config I have to wait 15 hours (exaggerated) to go thru all dialogs. Did anybody find a key to skip the cutscene ?

This is where it crashes and says the application do not answer : go to 16:10 about 16:11 :

that is when the red-lightning protean part of the cutscene start I ahve a problem.

Well anyway I have a radeom HD 5850 (desktop PC) an intel with 2 processor / 2 thread and win 7 64 bits.

And I can't continue the game...

That screwed up DLC crashes everywhere and anywhere. "Consisted" is the worst possible word choice I can imagine for this thread.

Repair the DLC, mate. Repair it and try again. And again. And again if you have to.

WHENEVER it crasher... repair the install again. Eventually it works. Trust me. I wasted a whole goddamn evening figuring that out.

What a mess, Mass Effect 3 has to be one of the worst release in the history of Bioware . I feel bad for the devs ,they worked hard on the game. My DLC crashes/freezes on the ship after your done with the mission. Bioware you got to get on a patch for this guys.

It's mostly the DLC's that screw the whole game up. Apar from From Ashes, the game consistently stops responding when I put Liara in her blue with black armor skin. The game also still crashes when I select the Prothean assault rifle.

I keep saying: ORIGIN SCREWS SOMETHING UP with downloading and installing the game and/or its DLC's!!!!!! I don't have the impression Bioware heeds my words because I'm just one guy, but the joke is on them.

I heard there's a problem when you try and look at the cut scenes in a certain order.
There is 2 of them. Find the other and look at that 1, and then the other that was making you crash.

has anyone solved the BSOD issue I am still stuck at the Citadel because I can't move two feet without it freezing up and giving me a bsod and resetting my computer, I haven't uninstalled it since by almost everyone says that doesn't work. please someone tell me what to do I want to play -.-



Edit: did a repair from Origin, and now it freezes in two seconds after loading my save but the good news is no BSOD but I still end up having to reset my computer manually -.-

I think the error is in what order you made missions before the DLC mission , cause i have chars that have that crash and have ones that don't have a crash , it's a long typing , since i really do not have time now , i will edit it in 4 or 5 hours

Ah, so the repair only made it worse in a way? I know this. Read back and I left my experience of one evening. I kept repairing and sometimes my saves didn't even want to load. Solution? Repair it again. Same problem? Repair it again. Same problem? Repair it AGAIN.

As for the BSOD... I suggest you install both Origin and the game on a different drive, because as far as I know.. a BSOD ALWAYS relates to a hardware problem. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I had this problem on my first playthrough.. two cutscenes it happened for. I went to this mission as my first sidequest. I need to go back through again soon and I thought I might check here first! Looks like I'll try going into my menu. I had more issues in that my autosave would load me into the closed shuttle.. which I could then roll out of and into the floor of the entire level. Here, I learnt that autosave is pretty useless..

I also had this happen when Origin kicked me out in Grunt's part of the game though. Same thing for any side mission I was kicked out of.

OK I found what the problem was with my glitch as above. Clicking on origin and clicking on search for update DO NOT update from ashes, only the main game. Immediately afterward I clicking on "i" on origin, the right click on from ashes and then update, and it found a 500 Mb patch.

So for any of you glitching : origin DO NOT search for update for the DLC. it only search for updates on the main game when you right click on the game symbol. To seach for update on DLC, you have to go in "i" then right click on DLC, then search for update.

To orogin : you dropped the balls on that one, that is really crazy.

My problem is when you get the pod data for the pod that your new buddy is in,every time i go to the panel and press the button it just froze and i get a massage saying:Mass effect 3 in not working propely.

I had the exact same crash at the exact same spot. I downloaded the latest update for the game, which I believe ws 568MB and it fixed it )

Yeah, that works for me. No crash if I do it in that order. Male Engineer, i f that makes any difference.

It... doesn't even start for me: it's like the Elcor Extraction mission, it just refuses to start.
That's... kinda frustrating.

I have the same frustrating problem...
One weird thing I noticed that might be related is that when I first made this new career and checked my war assets at the war room in the normandy for the first time after the mars mission I noticed they had "carried over" from the previous career I was playing... which it shouldn't happen. They were 4400 or something. Also I could not find any artifacts while scaning planets or anything you can find while scanning planets for that matter except fuel. It's like all the things that I had found from the previous career that I was playing counted for this one too...!
I wasn't able to find the "artifact" for the quest where you have to get weapons from the black market salarian at the citadel to give to the turian general... the artifact just isn't there on the planet either.
This is a new career I made, No import.
Edit:
I can confirm that this doesn't happen when you import a me2 save file, it's just happening with new me3 careers, at least ones created after having previously played another one.

Had the same problem in Ashes at the pod.  I tried the suggestion to keep hitting the HUD or MENU keys and that solved the probelm for me.  Thanks for the tip!

Had the EXACT same crash as Aepervius2. Updating the DLC solved the issue for me too. Thanks for the tip (and to the guys who actually solved this issue) ! Now I can get back to my game !

Well i had a crash at the begining... but when i restart the game and play it i can do the mission without any problem

Since I started playing in Windowed Mode (Borderless) I never experienced any more crashes.
