We don't have an active timer that shuts off missions if you've been playing X amount of hours before completing them. There are, however, a few missions that will expire if you don't complete them before advancing the main plot/if you complete less urgent missions instead.

So you are tell us, basiclly, to do every side mission as soon as we get it so it doesn't get locked out?

If you want to play it that way to be safe, you can. There's not a lot of missions that get locked off, and we only did it when there was a good story reason for them to expire if you let time pass by doing other missions.

Is there any way to tell which missions these are?

Thanks to this thread, the first couple of missions I made sure to do first were the 'Priority' missions, because I assumed if it was important enough to have a "Priority" written on it, it should be done before anything else and take precedence over the others. Now that I know that this is misleading, I've got a whoooooooooole lot of side quests stacked up that I've got to complete tomorrow before anything else. Le sigh.

Basically, all missions are timed, not just sidemissions. I was doing a plot-mission, and went away to get rid of some side-missins, and it expired too, even though I didn't do any other plot-missions.

A few Side Mission glitched for me, (like the SPOILER AHEAD Hanar Diplomatone),

It sucks, I liked that one.

This seems like a pretty bad design oversight... Shouldn't it at least say if  a quest you pick up expires before your next main story mission or something?

Wait, this applies to like an opportunity to increase War Assets, not a full on main mission, right?

Could someone please explain what "less urgent mission" are? As I don't have the game yet I can imagine what the main plot may be, but not the difference between side-quests and "less urgent mission".

Thanks in advance.

I'm confused as to which missions it is. I've been getting missions from people on the Citadel, but the planet it's on isn't available in the galaxy map. Is it because I haven't advanced in the main story to get the certain systems?

I think this one would be the case that the bioware dude said. It was an urgent mission and you made a less urgent before it and expired. But it probably was for War Effort stuff cause if it was a Plot mission...how the hell will you be able to finish the game? You are stuck?

Didn't Bioware LEARN from ME2? That missions that are "timed" and that we don't realize it happening until it's to late is stupid and robs us of wanting to do what we want in the game? NO, Of COURSE THEY DIDN'T!

No it does not.  It breaks immersion and practically makes everything in the game useless.   Just like that fueling mechanic.

I dont like time limits, hopefully there is a optional patch that can deactivate them for those like me who just plain hate them, that also keeps the ppl who do like them happy by making it optional ;)

You'll know when you play, its obvious. If its Stop The Reapers vs Deliver An Item, one is clearly less important than the other.

And the ones that can expire (again - not because of time), you'll understand why.

Also, primary missions are listed as "Priority: Mission Title A"
