-Miss quest.
-Reload often to do the same things but faster.
-Use a walkthrough.
Sure that does makes the game more enjoyable.

Why not just put a link to your blog in your signature instead of asking people to PM you?

But it would really stink if you walk down one hall and get 20 sidequests dumped on you a la Skyrim because you had the sheer audacity to speak to everyone you run across, that you then fail the majority of. I mean, are we talking a managable number of sidequests at any given time?

Heh, reminds me of Baldur's Gate when your companions would flip out and leave if you ignored their sidequest.
You had a lot of time, though. It was an 'eventually.' Not an "Oh, hi, I'm Minsc and if we don't do this right this second I'm gonna fail you..."
With Badlur's Gate II having a lot of areas far about, if a messenger came to tell you about a death in your companion's family... You usually did not have the time to finish the major quests without them leaving.

But if you're the kind of player that likes hitting every single thing--like the peoplewho gamed all of ME2 just to solve the Jack-Miranda problem--you're probably going to be gulping narcotics.

I haven't played for very long yet, but for those who have... do you really start racking up the sidequests to a point where this would be a major issue? I don't like timed stuff either, although I can kinda understand with that whole impending galactic extinction deal hanging over our heads. I get that.

10 hours in and I have a very messy, messy journal. Take your time, prioritize, and accept that you're not going to get everything and that's by design. You probably will be best off accepting this game on its own terms. There's also enough new mechanics--especially on weapons and tech--that you'll need to spend time getting to know them, as well. And in doing so, you might miss quite a bit on a first playthrough.
One concrete example that isn't a spoiler: If you're playing largely paragon, you could skip Aria's stuff and focus on helping Turians. Vice versa for renegades. Essentially, play your character and focus on what they would do and who they would want to help first. As the intro makes clear: you ain't saving everybody.....

Appreciate the advice, chief! I'm a Paragon Shep, so that does help narrow down. Guess I'll be getting selfish on the quests... turians, quarians, krogan, and geth (I wanna see my homeboy Legion again soooo bad!) get the first tip of the hat from me. LOL

Wait are the quests that are marked "priority" timed as well?
I think not cause these are the main quests...so if they were timed..the game would be over...

I've played 12 hours so far and have yet to have a main/side/alt/any quest fail, time out, disappear, cease to exist, whatever.
How misleading (THANKFULLY)
EDIT: I don't know if you guys are ripping through the main story and possibly that's the cause (and that would also mean they are not TIMED), but I have had ZERO go away.
/irritated and relieved.

That´s cool...you relieved me very much!
But i believe that the recommendation would be to do all the side plus alt quests before the main right?

And I have been doing that in fear of what I "learned" in this thread. Which may still to an extent be true in a "ME2 IFF" fashion - that I do not know. However, I have been bouncing around systems with no consequence, so that probably isn't true either.
Regardless, the only reason this thread is so long is because of "invisible timed quests" ... which there are not.

Well...i took a pick at the IGN walktrouht and it is clear now that the fail conditions come from MAIN quests...so you have to the side quests as soon as possible before advancing the Priority missions.
Makes more sense than some invisible timer. but why the hell has no one at Bioware commented on this?

yeah....i agree with you. Just a yes or no would be cool! But they seem to be ignoring this. I still ask on my knees that PLEASE, someone from bioware, confirm this info for us.
