Some may agree with my views, others may say I'm addicted, but here goes.
On November 23rd 2007, Mass Effect was released in the UK. Having never previously heard of the game, I picked it up shortly after, and honestly, I cannot express how glad I am that I did.
Mass Effect is my favourite series of all time, I have so many countless memories, like the ups of completeting the suicide mission in ME2 with no casualties, the downs of having to sacrifice Ashley Williams in ME to destroy the Krogan cloning, and the intrigue of speaking directly to Sovereign and Harbinger. Never has a game evoked so much emotion out of me, and I doubt a game ever will to the extent that the Mass Effect series has. And even now, I find it challenging to hold back my tears when watching the official launch trailer for ME3, probably because deep down, this is it, the end of something special, something which I have poured countless hours into over the past five years, and will undoubtedly pour into over the next five years
So before I delve into the unknown, and on the eve of It's release in the USA, I just want to say thank you, Bioware, for creating so much more than a game, but a piece of art. Please never stop creating masterpieces like this.
Yours truly, one of the many Mass Effect fanatics you've created!
Thank You Bioware
