just got the game I noticed that nothing from your import carries over from mass effect 2 other than the choices

And your points. And your level. And supposedly it has an impact on your weapons. But overall, it doesn't seem like much at all.

I got 25 points to Alliance readiness for resources from ME2. Dunno if You could get more if You gathered more in ME2

I got War Assets for the resources, but also all the model ships I purchased and the space hamster were there (though not where they should've been!).
Annoying that, for example the Inferno Armor which I had is now locked and costs to get again, but quite a lot of the armor and weapons just didn't carry over. I do however like that some choices from ME1 and ME2 are immediately obvious and the smaller choices from DLCs seem to make a difference too. You don't have to get far into the game before you can see the effects of your decisions.
Also worth reading the text on your war assets, especially the updates, to avoid missing how your decisions affected those.
