Glad I am not the only one to notice geth are made in the quarian image.  In the past, I have psotulated they were perhaps reptilian or resemble more the classic BEM since the eyes seem large. I hope this is not real because it seems too outlandish with the three fingers and clawlike chicken/lizard tyranasaurus rex feet that she'd be a hot human girl face.

Perhaps the reason why.....is originally when they created Tali, she was meant to look like an actual alien.  But when her fan base grew....expescially the ones who wanted to romance her.....the clamering began to make her hot....and eventually bioware gave in.

It doesn't really make sense like you said for her to have a face like that.  It would be like sticking a ho human girl face...on that of a female turian.

So the Quarians have been retconned to the point that they are no longer aliens? Apparently Quarian women are just three fingered white girls now. I can understand making her 'hot,' as she's a love interest. And one of the more popular ones to boot. But making her nearly completely human in appearance is terrible fan pandering.

Bioware's art team should have walked a middle ground between alien and human features. Instead they've gone nearly completely human.

Because there is a drastic lack of creativity in Bioware's art department.

Same reason most of the races are still male-only.

You know....there are plenty of deviant art of her face....art that gives her mixture of a human/alien face, with out resorting to her an almost human face. Why couldn't bioware gotten some ideas from them?

The codex never said they were humans.

The Quarians were described in the books as having physical features similar to humans. As in they had similar facial features, not that they were identical to humans. The Asari and the Drell for example, also share the same features with humans.

Now the Asari are actually more alien than the Quarians. That...is...astounding!

That would not explain why they would devlop such prominent hind legs like a t-rex and the clawed hand to boot. Also Grunt syas they are not a soft as humans and having skin goes contrary to that. I thought it reinforced the notion they have scales or hard skin aka rhino or dino.

Though for some reason bioware doesn't mind making the aliens for female romances.....to look quite alien.

I smell a double standard.

In ways, i feel insulted.  It's like bioware is saying that we males always have to have a really hot alien that has to look very human....to get our acceptance.

If we wanted a human looking alien romance...we have Liara.  And if we wanted even more human looking....we got the humans (miranda, ashley, etc).  But shouldn't we men get at least one romantic partner.....that actually has a truly alien appearence?

Honestly I just took that to mean what you could see eyes, nose and mouth in roughly the same position we have ours through the mask. It appeared elongated in the jaw region and with larger than human eye sockets. Being they are dextro and have markedly different limb and dna etc they should not closely resemble humans. I guess it is part pandering to fans and part Star Trek syndrome. (BTW no knock on ST as I watched many a show and a few of the movies).

The image also gives her elf-like ears, when the Quarians in the book were described in terms that suggested they had smaller ears than humans, or that their ears were entirely internal. The phrase used was, "...what passes for the Quarian version of an ear."

In short, if this is really from the game: the Quarians have been retconned to pander to the Talimancers that imagined their alien girlfriend was actually human.

Looks great. I don't get why they didn't let us see her fully. You see it clearly enough that people who didn't want to see it won't be happy and you don't see enough of her to please people that do want to see her. Should start calling this the BioWare Zone (after the endings); where you make a series of baffling, easily avoided decisions that fail to fully please anyone.

I don't get why we couldn't get the picture AND have Tali make her visor see-through when talking to Shepard. Or one proper cutscene that depicts what's in the picture. That'd be nice (and I'm not even a real Talimancer, I prefer Liara!).

And now a quality of Tali has been lost.  I don't think she was originally meant to be a hot "human"......that her more attractive qualities were more in her personality.

After seeing her picture....i would have prefered if Bioware never actually showed us her face.

And the reason you don't see an in-game model is because they could never properly replicate that edited photograph of an actual person in the game's engine.

If this isn't a troll Bioware should just go ahead and retcon Quarian orgins to make them an offshoot of humanity, planted by the Protheans on Rannoch. At least then the Quarians looking like white women would make sense.

Otherwise an alien species that is completely unrelated to humans that evolved on an alien world in an alien enviroment, should not look exactly like a human.

I can't say I'm suprised though. Awhile back someone had posted that Bioware hired the guy that did the
worst Tali fanart. If true, it would explain a lot.

I was expecting slightly reptilian, being that they evolved on an arid desert world, and share a dextro base with the turians. Im not raging by any means, just dissapointed. Biowares art dept is top notch, the turians, krogan, drell and geth are all wonderful, original alien designs. Up until they put a white girl face with elf ears on the quarians, they had an interesting, distinctive look too.

I think she looks hot because her fan base is mostly made up of guys. Hasn't anyone noticed that every love interest for the guys, looks very human? Originally....Tali was the exception.....though now it seems that bioware didn't want to make her another "garrus".

I wish us men got an actual alien looking love interest (this is scifi after all)....looks like we never will.
