If that is the final art for Tali, it is horrible. Does that seriously look like an alien that spent their life in a sealed suit???

I'm going to have to just assume that's a photo Tali's been carrying around for a while, from her younger days while she still lived among her own kind. There might be places the Quarians can go for short periods where they can survive outside their suits without too much risk of infection or disease - and maybe have a bath while she's at it.

I'd imagine she'd probably be really stinky at the moment, with really bad helmet hair that's slowly suffocating her as it continues to grow within the confines of the suit.

That's if the picture is indeed of Tali - it could be of her Grandmother from centuries ago on her home planet for all we know. Lets not forget, ancestry is one of the most significant and important things to a Quarian.

It kind of looks like she's wearing Shepard's N7 hoodie/jacket/whatever in that picture though (the red stripe on the arm of her clothes).

Given quarians have spent GENERATIONS living in suits, having hair AT ALL would be rare.

Amd why would Tali give you a picture of her grandmother??

Yes.  Her face looks more human then even Liara.

I know some wanted a really human looking Tali, but i sure don't.  Takes away some of her uniquness.

Is there just that one picture of rather poor quality so far? Given how long pirates have had access to the game I thought more pictures would have materialised by now.

I'm so glad I romanced her. I regret ever considering liara as my main LI in ME3. Shame on me.

If that is actually the real deal then I am disappointed.

Shepard is not James T. Kirk and aliens should look at least somewhat alien.

She looks good, but I wish the Quarians looked more alien, they just look like Human cyborgs with three fingers and toes, and thats odd considering they've got more in common with Turians than Humans.

If that is actually true then I have mixed reactions.
Part of me is like "Oh wow, they have made her look really nice!"
and the other part is "But at the same time it would of been nice to see her more alien looking"
At the end of the day.. It doesn't bother me, she still looks nice. :)

That's all you get to see and yes that lens flare is always there.  I'm rather disappointed actually.
I can't believe they made her look so human.  If you didn't happen to notice she has three fingers you could be mistaken for thinking that's the picture that came with the frame.

I've just seen a genuine picture :)

Go over to GameFAQS, Mass Effect 3, XBox360:

The topic title is "Tali's Face *Spoilers*", and the link is in the OP.

It's the same picture as the OPs.

I like it the lens flare makes skin color impossible to tell could be white, yellow or my fav a light shade of purple. I do agree she should not have long hair if any do to wearing a helmet all the time it would just get in the way so maybe she threw on a nice wig.

As well there is some fan art I do like a lot more but in the end she does need some level of attraction they just went a little to supermodel. So a 10/10 picture that is a 7/10 on the how tali should look scale IMO .

Disclaimer: I dig space elves ;)

I bet if Tali's face was shown in ME1 she and the Quarian race would have looked a lot different and much more alien like.
I don't like this at all, it's a very boring and safe design. Quarians had a lot of potential and now they're the most human looking alien race.

I don't understand the whine. The codex way back in ME1 clearly stated that quarians look very human.

Exactly, through all games we have ALL seen some of Tali through her mask (not clearly) but she always looked humanoid.

I think Quarians where supposed to have the average human lifespan, meaning that a Quarian would live around ... 70-80 years tops? That's barely 4 generations, and definitely not enough time to get bald.

Well, I'm not dissapointed or surprised. It's completely what I expected, but I was hoping for something a little more alien. Oh well, still looks good.

The description of Quarians in the codex originated in a book (that came out after ME1), and you are never told that the Quarians look human. You are told that the Quarians have have an endoskeleton, lips, teeth, and two eyes with eyelids and tear ducts. You also told that aside from their hands and legs, their general body shape is similar to humans.  That description (minus the bit about the hands and legs) could also apply to the Drell, who don't look human, or to the Asari, who now look more alien in appearance than the Quarians.

In short they were never described in terms that indicated that they were near indistinguishable from white women. They were described as having the same shared features with humanity as the Drell and Asari.

If the Quarians had been revealed in Mass Effect 1, before Tali had ever been made a romance option, you can guarantee that they would have looked more alien than they currently do. They would have at least have been as alien in appearance as the Asari, if not as alien as the Drell. Sadly, Bioware has catered to the worst element of the Talimancers: people who romanced the character imagining a human woman underneath.
