Indeed it kinda sucks that they gave Emily Wong's role in the game away to somebody else probably because the guys at Bioware have a crush on her and she wants to be in a video game. The voice actress who played Emily Wong could have used that role to help her career adding some IGN presenter does nothing for the fans or that persons career.

It does suck that the VA won't get to be in the last game (as Emily anyway, she was a good character), but I really enjoyed the twitter thing, as well as all the folks on CDN roleplaying their little hearts out  At one point, the story was trending (No.2), I believe. Some fairly decent marketing/PR which makes a nice change. Plus, I'm glad it was a character we knew and liked, and so felt some kind of connection with. It simply wouldn't have worked had it been a new character, or al-Jilani.

Don't know anything about Chobot, aside from the fact that she induces RAAAAGE and nerdgasms in almost equal measure. Don't much care either way if I'm honest, will judge her performance in-game on its own merits (or otherwise).

Yeah, and you know what? It was actually quite well done, and a creative use of Twitter as a storytelling medium.

If I had known about this or was even using Twitter I'm sure I'd have been absolutely delighted.

It is possible, at all times, to either deny Diana Allers access to your ship or to boot her off of it.

Though here's a question: was the Twitter feed a purely cosmetic affair or did it offer hints and warnings?  

For example, does the fact that Allers is doing roughly the same thing that Wong did mean that at some point, the Reapers will be able to track down the Normandy by following her feed?  Wouldn't that be an interesting turn of events, especially if that was the point of that plot development in the Twitter thread.  

I doubt that's the case, but other ARGs have certainly been used to convey hints and insider information for the main game to those who pay attention and read between the lines.  And I'm sure that Wong's comments about how there's no way to beat the Reapers conventionally is a direct nod to the early plot developments and considerations of ME3.  It gets the readers thinking along certain lines as players.  That's what a good ARG does.

It is most definitely a spoiler.  The lack of Emily Wong in the game is IN THE GAME.

I don't know why you are having such difficulty understanding the fact that discussing ANYTHING about the game's plot is spoiler material.
