What else would she do? She was mortally wounded and would've died anyway, or worse and turned into a husk. Her act, as insignificant as it was, probably registered as barely enough of a distraction to save someone's life in order for them to escape.dw99027 wrote...
That was... horribly contrite and awful... I've never said anything bad about the game so far, heck, I didn't even mind all the kids, but this is just B movie material. Reporter goes suicidal Rambo on a Reaper?!?!
What would you have done in her situation? Would you wait to bleed out, wait for the space gods to kill or harvest you, or would you try to use what little life you have left to save another?
...
wow.
Her dying while risking her life on the job is valiant but, all that ramming stuff is just jumping the shark. Female Space Larry King charges a Reaper as a last act of defiance ...
I know hating everything Bioware seems 'en vogue' these days, and I've liked pretty much everything I've heard about the game so far at the danger of being considered a 32 year old 'fanboy'... This is just laughable... literally. Thankfully, it's just a Twitter fluff thing... I doubt they'd pull anything like that in the game.
Fantastic avatar, BTW, reminds me of someone but I can't put my finger on it...
You're so massively jaded it's not even funny

Anyway, too bad for Emily. My Shepard liked her and thought she was the only non-annoying reporter (out of the 2 you encounter in ME1 and ME2). Shep's gonna be getting payback for a lot of people it seems. And you know what they say about payback. Heh...

https://twitter.com/#!/alliancenewsnet get a mug of hot chocolate and a box of tissues. An incredibly moving piece of writing, extremely well done.
A fantastic example of human determination, turned an often dismissed side character into a real human being in a powerfully dramatic, engaging and emotional situation.

Jaded implies strong emotions.. I have none over this. I know the amount of whiners on BSN has made every positively-inclined person look for the troll behind every corner, but I assure you I'm not one. This was just horribly executed and it made me laugh, just like watching a movie in which the acting is so bad that any attempt at drama turns into satire.graciegrace wrote...

Anyway, if you actually experienced an emotional stirring over this, that's good for you. None of my business.

...The goal isn't surviving anymore... this... this is a contest of eradication... I don't care about the logic behind it, I don't care about if ME3 is a mass betrayal of what has come before it, I don't care if my choices are written around anymore
The only thing i want... The only thing i need is every last Reaper burning or broken
Every husk riddled with bullets or pounded into powder
Every Collector or abomination that the reapers ever made... exterminated
cause they have just made the most fatal mistake of them all
They've pissed me off!
Amen man. As she was signing off with those incredibly badass last words I was just staring at the screen contemplating the horrors I'm going to inflict on the reapers.

Because the kid wasn't in the other games. There's no attachment to him.
I personally saw it coming, but my Shepard definitely will include him in the list of people he's trying to get payback for.

People are always going to be more attached to the people they know than random people.
It's how we are wired.
Besides, Wong isn't dead, she... is just a plucky investigative husk.
That, or Bioware should have indoctrinated her as a sleeper agent...
