So it will undoubtedly be important to solve certain situations by talking your way out off... Now I was wondering. Will there be different ways you can approach this? Say a charismatic rogue would be quite obvious... But would say an intelligent mage be able to talk his or her way out of a problem by providing intelligent remarks and the likes, or will he or she be 'forced' to solve it with charismatic comments too?

Just wondering if anyone knows anything about it.

The conversations themselves wary depending on class/origin/race.

The intelligent mage in this game seems to be the ones with the most cunning, which equals intelligence/charisma in DnD terms. So the intelligent mage is at least passably persuasive, even without coercion.

Alright. That seems fair enough. I personally never like going for a charismatic character, but sadly mostly like in Mass Effect, it is required if I want to get some of the 'better' solutions.

If you have high strength you can use Intimidate.

Also, certain replys will be based on insights given by things such as survival and intelligence.

To expand a bit more explicitly on what Herr Uhl mentioned - I believe it was stated by a dev in another thread that mages often get "intimidate"-type options just for being a mage. Possibly based on their magic stat just like classic intimidate checks would rely on strength, but really - I'd find it a lot scarier to cross a mage than I would a straightforward burly guy...

Very true. A Blood Mage specifically could be a painful encounter, if you ****** him or her off.

I do wonder, now we're on that subject, if everyone will instantly recognize you're a mage. Seems illogical, so I doubt that. But I'd probably not bring it up in most situations. Would be fun if someone tries to mug you only to find out he picked the wrong target.

Also, the dress and the elaborate walking stick might give you away.

Hmm... well in that case, I shall abandon the 'elaborate walking stick', in favor of a small dagger or some such. If possible.
