Whenever I try to do it from Origins, it says "Launching Mass Effect blah" and then nothing happens.
When I try to do it through the game folder it tells me some random blabber about 32 vs. 64 bit systems.
Help?
Game not starting?

I had the same problem with the 32 vs 64 bit error. I reinstalled Origin and it fixed it for me prior to the release date check. Now however I can't get ME3 to start... just get the Launching Mass Effect message from origin and nothing happens...

Yep, from what I've heard the 32 vs 64 bit error is almost always an issue where your origin is out of date. Mine decided to be terrible to an absolutely astounding degree (or I suppose, behaved as normal for an EA release) but I wound up having to uninstall it, and after a simple reinstallation failed... purge all origin registry keys manually, delete the cache and installer information as well as the app data information, reinstall the client (again), reboot into safe mode and run a script from command prompt because for some reason the new install directory refused to give ownership to my administrator account or any other account on the machine (admittedly that COULD have been Win7's issue. Was still a massive PITA). After all this however I was able to launch the game, get to the release date check and have it fail. Which is where I am now.
