I have a backup save called Save_0041.pcsav

It's in the following folder:
C:\\Users\\Frank\\Documents\\BioWare\\Mass Effect 2\\Save

When I click "New Game" in ME3 then "Import ME2 Character" nothing appears.

There is nothing in the configuration tool to help.

Then I tried this fix:
C:\\Users\\Frank\\Documents\\BioWare\\Mass Effect 3\\BIOGame\\Config

In GamerSettings.ini
At
[SaveGames]
Location=

I added:
[SaveGames]
Location=C:\\Users\\Frank\\Documents\\BioWare\\Mass Effect 2\\Save

Still no go.

Word is if you reload save in ME2 then save once more aboard Normandy, then delete all other save files, it'll work.

I am redownloading ME2 now (10GB wasted, thanks EA. I'm capped at 250GB a month) to try it.

Why couldn't they just put a utility in the configurator like ME2? If you're gonna make such a big deal out of completing a triology and our decisions mattering across all games, how about providing a crystal clear, easy to use solution for importing?

All this nonsense is making me mad.

I am having the same problem. Went to live chat and Sourabh did not help me and just disconnected when i asked him how to fix it.

my mass effect 3 is not importing my mass effect 2 saves

if you're unable to import the saves from Mass Effect 3 to Mass Effect 2, I believe the option wouldn't be there

the option is there but when i go to it, there are no characters there

and there should be cause i beat the game twice (main character did not die)

i can start a new game with them in mass effect 2

i even downloaded a community save file and that isn't working either

Thats funny as hell! Not laughin at you but laughin rather at Ea Games/ Being stupid.

I am also having the same issue, can not import my save Also Tried to do the fix in config nothing.
