Demo worked perfectly fine for me, but this pops up whenever I try to launch the game.

Same issue, created a thread below.

Tried the following with no results.
Repair through Origin
Uninstalled Origin and re-downloaded the newest version of Origin from EAs website.
Updated game through Origin, Patches 40mb.
Modified ME3 compatibility settings to Admin as well as run in Win7.

Previously got to the screen where it tries to authenticate to unlock. Progress bar hitches at 30%, Windows beeps, and dialogue box flashes too quickly, and then the message "Mass Effect 3 has stopped working displays".

Repairing again leads to the same process.

Now trying:
ME3 has been uninstalled.
Re-Downloading install files.

Will post with new info when done downloading install files.

I had this same problem and found this thread on a similar problem for the demo. The fix mentioned by Dezzstroy worked for me of removing the .dll file

Removing that .dll didn't work for me. Tried reinstalling the game to no results.

Earlier in the thread someone mentioned disabling Origin in-game overlay, it's a setting in Origin

Neither works for me. Still just keep crashing when I try to start.

Neither of those fixed. I used to have awc.dll problem, now it says EACore.dll instead.

This is EXACTLY my problem to the 'T'.   I am absolutely through with Origin once I'm done with ME3.  This **** never happened on Steam, I hope Bioware somehow cuts their their dependence on EA.

Nothing I have tried today has worked. It would be pretty awesome to get a chance to play my 80$ investment.

Yep, I'm gonna just have to be frustrated tonight and the rest of the day tomorrow until I get home... if they don't have a fix by then, EA does not deserve to be a digital publisher.

If ME3 was released for Steam, we would all be having a blast right now. This is why everyone wanted it to be release for Steam, EA. But their greed and incompetence just screwed half the PC fans over.

try moving your ME2 folder out of the bioware folder in your 'home' documents folder, And then deleting the entire bioware folder, THEN try relaunching the game.

Is there any specific spot to move the ME2 folder to?

I am having the same difficulty. I have disabled the firewall for Origin and ME3, I have uninstalled and reinstalled everything, I have fixed through Origin, I have deleted the demo, I have checked to make sure only one Origin process is occurring at a time, and just about everything else. The person I called said if this is a platform error, EA won't fix it until they feel like it is a big enough issue. but if several dozen threads in less then 24 hours of its release isn't enough I don't know what is.

This is also my problem exactly. BEX error with the awc.dll file. From what I hear its a problem with Origin and not ME3, so I wouldn't hold my breath on it getting fixed. Guess this is what I get for legitimately buying a game.

Also tried unistalling and Installing off a CDROM. Also didn't work. Nothing bloody works. Seriously, EA? How do you expect to have a customer base after this?

If you are having a crash issue with Mass Effect 3, you may need to download a patched version of the awc.dll and EACore.dll files in your game’s EACore folder.

Here’s the instructions:
1. Make sure Origin and your game are not running.
2. Download these file here: download.dm.origin.com/usertest/awc.zip and https://download.dm....test/EACore.zip
3. Unzip or extract the contents to your desktop.
4. Navigate to the binaries\\core folder:
                              a. Mass Effect 3 default is: C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Origin Games\\Mass Effect 3\\Binaries\\Win32\\Core
5. Make a backup copy of your AWC.dll and EACore.dll files
6. Move the new awc.dll and EACore.dll files from your desktop into the directory listed above.
7. Now run Origin and launch your game from Origin.

Let me know if this fixes it for you.

Thanks!

Downloaded eacore.zip from this thread and awc.zip from the other thread. No change, ME3 still refuses to run. At this point, I've pretty much run out of ideas.

I've had just way too many problems with Origin, all sorts of issues with getting games installed and running. I'm starting to get really tired of this.
